Wednesday Wish List


Here are a few things I've been lusting after this week...

La Vidriola have redesigned some of their most popular pieces of jewellery in new colours, and they're available to preorder now with 15% off each piece. These are just a handful of my favourites. I particularly love the Lion and the Tamer brooch set- isn't it amazing?!

I'm crazy about the new Cath Kidston x Disney The Jungle Book collection which was released last week. Everything is so beautiful! I haven't actually bought anything from the range yet, but I would love to collect all of the above. My ultimate favourites are probably the Shere Khan pouch and vase, and Waterlily River continental wallet, overnight bag, and cosmetic bag. They have some amazing dresses, too, if you're a size 18 or under.

The new Natural Lust eyeshadow palette from Too Faced looks absolutely stunning. I love the look of the metallic shades, and the packaging is beautiful, too.



I don't need a new case for my Instax camera, but look how pretty this pressed flower camera case is!



I need this t-shirt from Truffle Shuffle; even if just to sleep in.

Wednesday Wish List


Here are a few things I've got my beady little eye on this week...

I'm loving the look of so many of the new season Lyra dresses from Lady Vintage's Lady Voluptuous collection. The prints, which include everything from florals to potion bottles, and cacti to chameleons, are so pretty and fun. I've held back on ordering Lyra dresses for years as I'm not sure I'm voluptuous enough to be able to wear them, but I think I'm going to have to order one soon and find out.

These dinosaur skeleton necklaces from Dinosaur Yeah are amazing! They also come in mirrored silver and gold finishes if wooden jewellery isn't your thing.

I'm also loving these fantastic acrylic statement necklaces from Dinosaur Yeah. Those designs! Those colours! Every girl needs a diner and a bumper car necklace in her collection.

I'm more than a little smitten with these stunning pieces from Hell Bunny- particularly the sun, moon, and stars print Solaris dress (#2). It's so nineties- in the best possible way. I love the print, the style of the dress, and those amazing sleeves!

Kimchi and Coconut's new Culinary Arts acrylic jewellery collection is pretty damn cute. The designs include peaches, pretzels, picnic baskets and more, and they look perfect for summer accessorising. I especially love the picnic basket brooch.




I'm so excited for Cath Kidston's latest Disney collaboration- The Jungle Book- which launches tomorrow night with a presale at 7pm. (Sign up here to access it if you haven't already). The spoilers I've seen so far look absolutely beautiful. I'm loving the look of the Continental Wallet and the Shere Khan Tiger pouch, along with an envelope clutch or pouch with a tropical print featuring Bagheera and Hathi Junior. I don't know if I'll be able to restrain myself... 



And I'm also tempted by the gorgeous Tarte Tarteist Pro Remix Amazonian Clay eyeshadow palette. The green and purple shadows, Color Explosion and Mashup, are particularly calling my name... I'm trying to ignore the siren call, though, as I have waaay too many eyeshadow palettes already, and it's not like I go anywhere these days so I can't justify buying more to wear. It doesn't hurt to dream, though.

Wednesday Wish List


Here are a few things I've been coveting this week...

La Vidriola have just released the most amazing collection of jewellery inspired by the nineties, and as a nineties child / teen, I am loving it! My favourites have to be the Tamagotchis, Furbies, and cassette tapes. Who remembers the days of winding tangled tape back in with a pen?



This pigeon-shaped coin purse from Cath Kidston is so damn cute! I love the print of pigeons in royal uniforms on the back.

I also love Cath Kidston's new Ocean Fish print, which is made up of all kinds of different tropical fish and sea creatures. The bags, purses, and cases in the range are beautiful, and perfect for summer.

A girl can never have too many polka dot dresses, and I'm intrigued by these two pretty polka dot midi dresses from ASOS Design Curve. I'm not 100% sure about the thigh splits on the yellow dress, but the black dot shirt dress is gorgeous!



This one's waaay out of my budget, but this parrot cross body bag from Kate Spade is fantastic. It would be perfect for accessorising all of those tropical summer looks year after year.

And last but not least, I adore these pastel Highland cow brooches and necklaces from Scottish brand Bonnie Bling. The only problem is, I can't decide which colour I love best!

Wednesday Wish List


Here are a few things I've been coveting this week...

Little Moose have cultivated an urban jungle for SS19 in the form of this beautiful collection of botanical-inspired handmade acrylic brooches, necklaces, and earrings, and I am loving it. Everything is so pretty, especially the monstera and ivy designs. I need those ivy earrings!

On Monday, Erstwilder released two new jewellery collections. The first was a body positivity inspired collection by artist Mel Stringer called Love Yourself, and as a plus size girl who believes in body positivity and size acceptance, I'm naturally so excited by this collection! I mean, how often do you see jewellery featuring women with fuller figures, big bums, shapely thighs, and wide hips that are cute AF? I love it! The designs are amazing, and it's refreshing to see a collection celebrating people of different shapes, sizes, and skin colours!

I forgot to set my alarm for the release at 6:30am on Monday morning, and was upset to find the Bee Yourself brooch (#10) I had my heart set on- and much of the collection- had already sold out by the time I surfaced just after 8am. I then discovered Carnation Collectibles weren't releasing their stock until 10am and managed to add it to my basket, and just when I got to the last step to pay on Paypal, some twenty seconds later, it informed me it had sold out. I. Was. Not. Impressed. I had to resort to buying it from an American stockist on eBay for £8 more than usual because I had to have her. Fingers crossed I don't end up having to pay outrageous custom fees for the pleasure. I'm also hoping the Sparkle Heart brooch (#1) doesn't sell out before I can afford to add it to my collection, because I need it in my life, too! Isn't she fabulous? 

As I said, the collection has proved to be so popular many of the designs have unfortunately already sold out. Erstwilder also released a seven-piece Fan Favourites collection, reviving seven popular old designs in new colours and finishes. I think I'm going to need Zelda the Zany Zebra in my life as she's so beautiful, although Sacha Sleeping Fox is rather lovely, too.

These Lulu Guinness bags and purses are waaay out of my budget, but that doesn't stop me from admiring these beauties from afar. I love a good lip or heart-shaped design.

And finally, I'm making heart eyes at these pretty swing dresses from Lindy Bop. I love the watercolour bunny print on the lilac Corinna dress, and the honey pot pockets on the bee print Brittany dress are the most adorable pockets ever! It also has a heart-cut out at the back!

Erstwilder Brooch Haul


It's been more than four months since I last showcased my Erstwilder brooch purchases on the blog (I know, shocking, right?), so I think it's time for a long over due brooch haul.



Since that last Erstwilder post during the festive season, I've collected five new Erstwilder brooches, and boy, have I scored some beauties.



First up is Life By the Horns, a lilac rhino brooch from last year's Out of Africa collection. I purchased it on sale with some Christmas money in December after coveting it for months, and I'm so glad I did because it's become one of my favourite brooches ever. She's so pretty that I can't stop wearing her. She has a lilac body, with two legs in a darker shade of purple, amazing glittery white horns, a pink ear, and even a little pink bird perched on her back hitching a ride. I think she's based on the white rhino, but I love how the segmented shape of her body makes her look like the armoured, pre-historic-looking one-horned rhinos of Asia, which basically look like living dinosaurs. (Google them; they're so cool!) It's the cutest rhino brooch I've ever seen. If you think so, too, you can find it on sale for £18.95 from Lottie & Lu here.

Next is Brave Burro, your friendly neighbourhood pack-mule, and the sweetest little ass in town. This little guy was part of the Spanish Fiesta collection and has more character than Donkey and Eeyore combined, with a hitch in his giddy up, and a cheeky glint in his innocent eyes. He may be exploited for hard labour, but that doesn't mean he can't look his best while he helps his humans earn a living. He's accessorised his grey coat with a rainbow beaded necklace, and a white saddle embellished with matching rainbow beads, and he looks fabulous. I knew I had to have him the second I saw him, and I'm glad I managed to snap him up before he sold out, because I can't get enough of this little guy.



Another brooch I couldn't resist treating myself to from the Spanish Fiesta collection was a beautiful Spanish rose called Rosa Española. It turned out to be even more stunning in real life than I was expecting, and it's now one of my favourite pieces of jewellery of all time. The star shaped red rose is made from the prettiest marbled cherry red resin, with the middle layer crafted from a glittery scarlet.  (The reds aren't as dark as my photos would suggest; my camera hasn't captured them well at all. They're much brighter in real life). The flower sits on a bed of three forest-green leaves and one mint, which are each scored with veins and it. Is. Stunning. I haven't been able to stop wearing it since it arrived, and I can't help thinking the design would make an amazing tattoo... I'm tempted to get it done on my wrist. Rosa Española is still available from Erstwilder, and Glitterally in the UK.

A few months ago, Erstwilder released their In Full Bloom collection, a huge collection with dozens of pieces inspired by some of the world's most popular flowers and plants. It's easily one of my favourite Erstwilder collections to date, and every design was so beautiful I could've happily bought every single piece. I could only afford one on release day, though, so I chose the purple pansy brooch called On Sleeping Eyelids as pansies are one of my favourite flowers. On Sleeping Eyelids is the perfect purple pansy brooch made from the most amazing marbled, pearlescent resins, with a characteristic matte black face, a sparkly yellow nose, and two matte leaves in different shades of dark green. It is the pansy brooch of my dreams, and I've worn it so many times already. Unfortunately, like most of the collection, this brooch sold out incredibly quickly, so it's no longer available, but if you can hunt it down through a resale page, I would definitely recommend it.

As the range sold out so quickly, I wasn't able to collect more of my favourites from this collection, and I was particularly disappointed that I missed out on the lily brooch, Frilly Lily Frond. (I'm not sure why, as I would never consider lilies to be one of my favourite flowers, but there's just something about this brooch...) I kept  hunting for it for months, and last month, I finally tracked it down via Collectif! I snapped it up immediately, and I couldn't be happier with it; I think it's absolutely stunning. It's made from pearlescent and shimmering pale pink resins with salmon pink detailing, yellow stamens, and green leaves, and it's the most beautiful, realistic lily brooch I've ever seen. I've only worn it a couple of times so far, but I know it's going to be worn to death as time goes on. It's perfect for pairing with florals in spring and summer.



The majority of my Erstwilder collection is made up of animal brooches, so I'm pleased to have finally added some flowers to the collection to mix things up a little. They are definitely proving to be some of my favourites at the moment. I'm loving the latest additions to my brooch zoo, too, though, and I couldn't be happier with my most recent jewellery purchases. I chose well!

I can't help wondering what designs I'll pick up next!

Wednesday Wish List


Here are a few things I've been lusting after of late... This week, it's been all about the statement jewellery...

Little Moose have just released several new collections for SS19 which I've been anticipating for months, and I'm obsessed with so many of their amazing new designs. These are just a handful of my new favourites. I love the flamingos, and fennec foxes, but I think my favourite have got to be the pangolins! I love those unusual critters and they're without a doubt some of the cutest pieces of jewellery I've ever seen! I definitely need the brooch in my life, along with the flamingo and fennec fox ones, but I'm so tempted by the amazing necklaces and earrings, too. Typically, I've just spent too much on concert tickets again (sorry, not sorry), so I can't snap any of them up just yet, but I'm planning to treat myself to a piece or two as soon as I can. Fingers crossed the pangolins don't sell out in the mean time!

I discovered this pin of Annelle from Steel Magnolias on Easter Sunday, and OMG I need it! Steel Magnolias is one of my favourite movies, so this is the best pin ever!

I'm loving everything from Tatty Devine's brand new jewellery collection 'The Wild Collection', especially the leopard and turtle brooches. It's probably a good thing their pieces aren't cheap, or I'd be tempted to buy them all!

Oh So Flamingo have launched a lovely new acrylic jewellery collection inspired by insects, and I'm loving the ladybird and honey bee designs so much. The Honey Bee necklace and brooch (1 and 2) have got to be my favourites- they're both so pretty!


Erstwilder Body Positivity Collection

Erstwilder are launching a body positivity and self-love inspired collection by Aussie artist Mel Stringer next Monday, and I couldn't be more excited for it. Look how cute the two spoilers they've teased us with so far are! The bumble bee girl brooch is too cute! I can't wait to see what the other designs will be.


Deer Arrow Floral Friends

I'm also smitten with these two brooches from Deer Arrow's upcoming Floral Friends collection, which launches tomorrow at 12pm and 7pm AEST. I never manage to get hold of any of their pieces before they sell out, because they're made in limited numbers and sell out incredibly quickly, but I would love to have these in my brooch zoo.
