Litjoy Crate Reading Journal Review

I've been looking for the perfect reading journal to help record my reading life for years, and I think I've finally come close to finding it.

What is this almost-perfect reading journal, I hear you ask? Let me introduce you to Litjoy Crate's reading journal, a gorgeous hardback journal with everything you need for organising and chronicling your literary adventures. I recently treated myself to it with my loyalty points, and I'm so impressed with it I just had to tell you about it.

I'll admit, the design of the cover is a little plainer than I'd usually go for, but it turned out to be so much prettier than I was expecting. Just look at it- it's stunning. It has a hardback cover which features tasteful gold-stamped detailing, with The Reading Journal lettered simply on the front in a modern font, and open books fluttering like butterflies alongside the quote 'we lose ourselves in books, and we find ourselves there, too' on the back. While I'd have preferred something patterned and fun, there's something beautiful about its simplicity and the high quality feel of the book, and the most important thing is it has all you could ever need for recording your reading life inside.

There are 288 pages of to-be-read lists, book reviews, favourite book quotes, books read, and so much more, and the great thing is, it's been perfectly bound to lie flat when you write, so it's a dream to write in, too. I honestly think it's one of the best reading journals I've ever seen.

Shall we have a look at what the reading journal has to offer?

First, you'll find that the journal has lovely illustrated end papers, with a design by the artist Abigail Crandall, showcasing a diverse range of people who are all enjoying a good book.

It features two pages for you to record your reader profile, where you can list your favourite authors, characters, books, genres, and quotes.

There is room to review 100 books, giving you a double page spread for each one read, with space to record what the book taught you, a mini review, and your favourite quotes, as well as how the book made you feel, and the little details about the book like genre and format. I love the choice of prompts for these reviews, and think 100 reviews is a decent amount for one journal. It should set me up for a couple of years.

Between the book review pages, you'll also find famous quotes, dotted pages, and places where you can record your thoughts and feelings, which helps to break up the monotony.

There's a double page spread for creating reading goals.

It has three lined pages for listing the books you want to read. Personally, I think this should've been given more space- I could fill this up in minutes.

There are three pages of popular book recommendations in a variety of genres for you to check off as you read them.

It even has ten pages of illustrated bookshelves with blank book-spines you can colour and fill in with the books you read. It's such a fun way to keep track of what you read, and definitely one of my favourite features of the journal.

Towards the back, you'll find pages of literary locations around the world, and a page and a half where you can jot down others you'd love to visit one day.

You'll find two pages each for your favourite audiobooks, and book club picks.

There's two pages for recording books left unfinished. It only gives you room to list fifteen, which is fine for me (I usually persevere even if it kills me), but doesn't seem like enough for some readers.

It has six pages for noting your favourite book-to-movie adaptations with cute little ticket stubs for you to fill in.

There are four lined pages for your favourite book quotes- although, I personally don't think that's anywhere near enough space. I love a good bookish quote, and I won't be able to list all of my favourites. Why this was given less space than movie adaptations is beyond me.

There are even pages for recording your favourite books by season, with a page dedicated to each time of the year, and illustrations you could colour in. This will be fun to think about, as I love reading books that immerse me in the season. Especially in autumn and winter.

At the back, there are three lined pages for thoughts and feelings, a page of reading resources, and four dotted pages for you to use as you like, such as for creating your own reading trackers.

The reading journal also features a ribbon bookmark for marking your place, which is a pale gold organza. I don't know if the ribbon colour differs between the different coloured books.

And it even comes in a matching hardback gift box, making it a gorgeous keep sake, and a lovely gift for any reader.

The reading journal comes in four classic colours, so the only hard part is choosing which to go for. I chose the sea blue (but only as the pink was out of stock), and it's a beautiful teal-green, which I absolutely love. The colour is so much prettier than I was expecting- probably because it's not the petrol blue it appeared in the stock photos. If teal isn't your thing, it also comes in forest green and there's an onyx version on a separate listing, too. (Which has different end papers, and is currently on sale)!

The other three colours currently retail for $24.99, which is just under £20. Shipping to the UK was around $10- under £8, which I think was reasonable for international shipping. I didn't get any customs charges, either, which was definitely a bonus.

Overall, I'm extremely impressed with Litjoy Crate's reading journal, and I'm so glad I found it. It has almost everything I could wish for in a reading journal, and while I wish some topics had more room, I can't think of anything that it's missing. It's going to be perfect for keeping track of things like my TBR list and what I read, and it's brilliant to finally have a place to jot all the important stuff down offline.

I couldn't recommend it to you more.

You can find the Litjoy Crate reading journals here.

Do you keep a reading journal? How to you keep track of the books you read?

The Muppets Christmas Carol Christmas Cards From Jenny Grene Illustration

Last Christmas, I didn't give someone my heart, but my sister, Sarah, got me the coolest Christmas card ever... this Muppets Christmas Carol card from Jenny Grene Illustration on Etsy.

I loved the card so much, I decided to keep it to frame as a Christmas decoration, and ended up collecting several of the illustrator's other Muppets cards with the aim of doing the same. I haven't got around to framing them yet, but I just had to tell you about these awesome cards.

If you're a fan of the Muppets Christmas Carol, I think you'll be as excited by these Christmas cards as I am. I actually squealed with happiness when I first saw them.

The Muppets Christmas Carol has been one of my favourite Christmas films since Christmas '92, when my Nana gave us a copy on video for Christmas. We grew up watching it multiple times every December, and now it wouldn't be Christmas without watching it at least a few times. It never fails to get me in to the Christmas spirit, and it makes me so nostalgic for my childhood. That's probably why I can't help fangirling over these cards.

Each card features an iconic scene from the film, from no cheeses for us meeces, to even the vegetables don't like him, and it's the penguins Christmas skating party! to the classic I am here to tell the story. And I am here for the food. The designs are fantastic, and I guarantee you, they'll put a big smile on the face of anyone who loves the film.

The designs are charming reproductions of Jenny Grene's original hand-drawn and digitally-coloured illustrations, and are printed on good-quality, thick A6 card. They are blank inside, allowing you to write your own personal greeting, and on the back is the illustrator's name and logo- a stem of yellow buttercups. Every card comes with a matching off-white envelope for your sending needs- but make sure you buy multiples of the cards, because you'll want to keep them all for yourself! My sister clearly has more willpower than I have because I could never give these cards away! That's okay, though; who wants to give them away when you can keep them and turn them in to the coolest Christmas wall art??

The cards are reasonably priced at £2.85 each on Etsy, and postage in the UK is refreshingly inexpensive. I waited about two weeks for my order as I ordered on Boxing Day and during lockdown last year,  but her usual lead time seems to be within a week.

If the Muppets Christmas Carol isn't your thing (what is wrong with you??), Jenny Grene Illustration stock plenty of other designs, too, including Elf, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Ross as The Holiday Armadillo. There are also lots of non-festive cult classics, and you can check out her current selection on Etsy here.

I'm really impressed with her cards, and couldn't recommend them to you more.  They're the best Christmas cards ever!

Are you a fan of The Muppets Christmas Carol?

Papergang Papio Press Stationery Box November 2020

Back in November, I treated myself to my very first stationery box from the monthly stationery subscription service, Papergang by Ohh Deer.

I had admired Papergang's stationery boxes from afar for ages, but until recently, I had never tried a stationery subscription box. That was until I saw a video on Instagram advertising their beautiful November box, filled with Papio Press stationery, for just £7- 50% off their monthly subscription price- and I was powerless to resist them any longer.

I've always had a soft spot for woodland animal paraphernalia and I love Papio Press' designs, so this stationery box looked like a dream come true.

I placed my order and waited a week or so for a Papergang box to land on my doormat one rainy morning in early November. To my dismay, the beautiful navy and blue packaging, featuring a stunning Papio Press woodland design of foxes, deer, robins, and foliage, was a little soggy from the rain, but thankfully the contents inside were unspoiled, and the box dried almost as good as new.

I wanted to do an unboxing on Instagram, but I was too excited to wait, and had to open it straight away. Everything was wrapped in a sheet of black tissue paper, and inside I found...

♥ A high quality fox enamel pin with a floral design etched in to the enamel.

♥ Six Christmas cards in three designs, printed on 280gsm FSC certified stock with recycled kraft envelopes.

♥ A stunning black and gold A6 lined hardback notebook, printed on FSC certified stock with hot foiled embellishments, including foxes, trees, crescent moons, and more.

♥ A blue 60 page shopping list pad with a fox, foliage, and snowflake design printed on FSC-certified stock.

♥ A large sheet of 100% recyclable gift wrap printed on 100gsm FSC certified paper, featuring the same woodland design printed on the box, but in a larger size.

I also received a pencil Papergang enamel pin as a welcome gift to the subscription service, and a blank calendar postcard with a foliage design was also included in the box.

I genuinely love everything that was included in this stationery box, and will get good use of everything but the Papergang pin. I particularly adore the gorgeous notebook (not surprising at all, since I'm a bit of a self-confessed notebook addict), and the Christmas cards and wrapping paper are so beautiful I almost don't want to use them. The list pad will come in handy for jotting my shopping lists down, and the fox pin couldn't be more perfect since they're one of my favourite animals. I'm really pleased and impressed with the whole box- although, I did know what was going to be in the box before I bought it. It wasn't a happy accident.

The quality of all of the products is fantastic, and definitely worth every penny. I would have happily paid full price for this box if I hadn't have stumbled up on a discount code for my first box.

I decided not to keep my subscription to Papergang after receiving this box, though- not because I didn't love this box or their service, but because I'd rather order one-off boxes from them whenever one catches my eye. Luckily, you can get a rolling subscription for 1, 3, 6, or 12 months, and cancel at any time with the monthly subscription. I didn't like the December box's stationery enough to order it, but I know the November box will not be the last one I order from them. I regularly covet their beautiful stationery boxes.

The great thing about Papergang stationery boxes, apart from being filled with gorgeous stationery that are delivered direct to your door, is that every box they sell helps to plant trees with Tree Aid. A monthly box plants a 1/4 of a tree, while a twelve month subscription will plant three. How cool is that?! The brand also collaborates with charities that resonate with them twice a year, which has included the ME Society, and the Marine Conservation Society in the past, so there's lots of great reasons to support the brand.

You can subscribe to their stationery boxes via my referral link here, and also find some previous Papergang boxes for sale through Ohh Deer here. Sadly, the November box is now sold out, but it may become available with Ohh Deer, so keep checking back if you hope to get your hands on one.

Have you tried a Papergang stationery box yet?

What I Got For My 35th Birthday

It's been three months since my birthday, but in true Louise style, I've only just managed to take the photos I needed to document the lovely presents I was given for turning another year older.

I'm beyond useless at documenting my life on time these days. My Chronic pain is so unpredictable it makes it hard to keep up. I still wanted to make a record of what I was given, so three months late it is. Better late than never, though, right?

A flatlay photo of birthday presents wrapped in red My Little Pony wrapping paper and a sky blue bird print hair scarf taken from above.

My older sister and brother-in-law sent me a parcel of goodies wrapped in My Little Pony paper and a sparrow-print scarf all the way from Germany.

A flatlay photo of birthday presents taken from above, including a sky blue sparrow print hair scarf, a Jemima Puddle Duck brooch, a blue footed booby brooch with ruby feet, a Funko Pop of Timon from The Lion King, a packet of Reese's chocolate peanut butter dipped pretzels, a clothbound Classics edition of Dracula, and a box of Godiva chocolates.

They gave me some really lovely presents, including a couple of Erstwilder brooches- Jemima Puddle Duck and Ruby The Booby; a sky blue sparrow and anchor-print hair scarf from Erstwilder; a Funko Pop of Timon from The Lion King dressed in drag to do the luau; a gorgeous Clothbound Classics edition of Dracula by Bram Stoker; some Godiva chocolates; and a bag of Reese's chocolate peanut-butter-dipped pretzels. I love everything, but naturally, the Erstwilder pieces are my favourites.

A photo of two resin Erstwilder brooches- Jemima Puddle Duck and Ruby the Booby, a blue-footed booby with ruby feet- taken from above on a white background surrounded by colourful confetti.

Jemima had been on my brooch wish list for ages as I adored Beatrix Potter books growing up, and my sister chose Ruby the Booby for me because it's called a booby, and she thought it was hilarious. Yep, my older sister is really twelve. I've wanted Ruby for years, so I'm really pleased to finally have her in my collection. She'll be perfect for future holidays to Cornwall when life is safe again.

A photo of an Erstwilder black raven brooch on a white background surrounded by colourful confetti. The brooch features a black resin raven with orange markings on its wing perched on the top of an orange marbled resin skull.

I treated myself to the Erstwilder Raven Mad brooch for my birthday because it had been high on my wish list since last autumn, and I came across it on sale via Lottie & Lu. (Sadly sold out now, but still available from Glitterally here). It would've been rude not to since it was my birthday, right? It's made from the most gorgeous black and orange resins, and is easily one of my favourite brooches ever. Ravens are for life and not just for Halloween!

A photo of a blue and yellow Loungefly wallet with characters from Disney's Robin Hood printed on the front photographed from above on a white background surrounded by confetti. The front of the wallet features Robin Hood the fox dressed up as a stork and the Sheriff of Nottingham behind him, both holding bows and arrows as they take part in an archery tournament.
A photo of a blue and yellow Loungefly wallet with characters from Disney's Robin Hood printed on the back photographed from above on a white background surrounded by confetti. The back of the wallet features images of Maid Marian (a vixen in pink and white clothing), Prince John the lion, and Little John the brown bear dressed as Sir Reginald, Duke of Chutney, sitting in the royal box watching an archery tournament.

My younger sister, Sarah, gave me this amazing Robin Hood wallet from Loungefly, and it's basically the best wallet ever. I. Love. It! Robin Hood has always been one of my all time favourite Disney movies, but you rarely ever see merchandise from it, so I can't tell you how excited I was to get this. There really should be more Robin Hood memorabilia. It's such an underrated Disney movie, but definitely one of the best.

Photo of a white strawberry print Cath Kidston tote bag on a white background, with three pale pink silk flowers placed in front of it.

My parents gave me some money towards the Cath Kidston Sweet Strawberry tote bag which I'd been coveting all summer, and I made up the difference. I only have one other tote bag in my wardrobe, so I thought it would be good to try a different style to what I usually go for. I'm glad I did as I love it. It's a gorgeous medium sized tote made from white faux leather with a red and pink strawberry print on the outside, and a plain red faux leather on the inside. It's so pretty, and has plenty of room for the essentials- and then some. I haven't actually used it yet as I've only left the house once since I got it, but it'll be great for next spring and summer. It's still available to buy here, and it's currently on sale for just £46- a steal at almost half price!

I was also given a blush-coloured wallet from Fossil, and a set of earrings from the parents, but I forgot to take a photo of them.

A flatlay photo of Erstwilder Care Bears products on a white background surrounded by colouful confetti. The items include two Care Bears print scarves, two pink enamel Care Bears pins on circular pastel rainbow print packaging, a lime green Luck Bear brooch with a shamrock on it's stomach, and a turquoise blue Wish Bear brooch with a shooting star on it's stomach.

I also received a little money for my birthday from my relatives, which I pooled together and put towards the Erstwilder Care Bear brooches I blogged about recently.

A photo of a black clothbound edition of Dracula by Bram Stoker. The clothbound book features a metallic cobalt blue print of bats on the front, mixed with white stars and streaks of white, and sits on a white background surrounded by colourful confetti.

A lovely friend of mine sent me the Puffin Classics edition of Dracula by Bram Stoker, which I'd been coveting since it was released late last year. It's so beautiful and looks amazing on my bookshelf. I have a few books from this collection now, and they're some of the prettiest books I've ever owned. I can't wait to finally read Dracula this Halloween.

A flatlay photo of pretty stationery taken from above on a white background surrounded by colourful confetti. The photo features a retro flower print notebook, a box of matching pencils, and a box of highlighters with the same print, plus a small square mandala colouring book, two neon yellow star shaped paper clips, a felt green and pink watermelon brooch, and an 'L' Scrabble tile mounted on a small wooden heart with string attached to make a gift tag.

Another wonderful friend of mine sent me a gorgeous stationery box filled with the cutest stationery you ever did see. Inside was a notebook, box of pencils, and set of highlighters in a retro poppy print; a mini mandala colouring book; two star shaped paper clips; a scrabble tile heart tag with my initial on it; and a felt watermelon brooch. It was really thoughtful, and as a bit of a stationery addict, I naturally love it all! I can't remember the name of the company it came from as I threw out the box because of Covid paranoia (yep, I'm one of those people), but if anyone wants to know, leave me a message, and I'll try to find out for you.

And those are the lovely presents I was gifted for my 35th birthday from my family and friends.

I felt so spoiled, and they sure helped brighten up my birthday on lockdown. Thanks for the presents, family and friends!

What did you get for your last birthday?

MÃ¥l Paper Daily Goal Setter Planner Review*

[AD- This post includes a product I was sent in exchange for a review. As always, all photos, words, thoughts, and opinions are my own].

I've always been a bit of a stationery addict and I love organising my life with a good to-do-list, so when a new company called MÃ¥l Paper approached me and invited me to review their new Daily Goal Setter planner*, I immediately said 'yes!'

As someone who prefers to coordinate her life on paper instead of on screen, I was intrigued by the planner, and couldn't wait to find out if it could help me organise my life more efficiently.

Spoiler alert: it did not disappoint!

Image of a pink hardback faux leather daily goal setter planner from MÃ¥l Paper.

The Daily Goal Setter* from MÃ¥l Paper is a beautiful hardback planner made from soft textured faux leather. It features a stylish, Scandinavian-inspired minimalistic design with a tasteful modern font in gold on the cover and spine, and comes in a choice of three colours: black, grey, and pink. I chose the pink because we all know I can't resist some colour, and I know many of you can't, either! It's a pretty salmon-pink in colour, and it looks effortlessly stylish instead of childish or garish, as pink stationery sometimes does.

When the goal setter arrived on my doorstep, I was instantly impressed by the fantastic quality of it. It's sturdy and very well made, and looks built to last. I'm confident it will survive regular use and being carried around in your bag to use on the go with minimal wear and tear.

A gratitude journal and planner in one, the Daily Goal Setter, is the perfect planner to help you effectively organise your life, optimise your potential, and achieve your goals. Whether you want to focus on your work, blogging, school, or home life, this planner has everything you need to make your life as stress free and productive as possible, while helping you think more positively and mindfully.

Image of an open hardback daily goal setter planner from MÃ¥l Paper photographed from above showing example pages of long-term goals.

It begins with a cheat sheet section with plenty of tips for using the planner, and how to effectively set and achieve your goals, which you should find helpful if you don't know where to start. It leads on to sections for planning long, medium, and short-term goals with room to include when, why, and how you hope to achieve them, and motivational quotes at the bottom of each page to inspire you.

Next you'll find month and week in-review pages where you can record important tasks, and review and rate your month or week.

Image of an open hardback daily goal setter planner from MÃ¥l Paper photographed from above showing example pages of month in-review.

The month in review pages also have room for notes, and include an undated calendar which could be helpful for tracking blogging or business stats and expenses, noting down appointments, or using to keep track of schedules. I see myself utilising this section for planning blog content in the future.

Pages for daily tasks naturally make up the majority of the planner, with a full page provided for you to fill each day. Half of the page is allocated to a to-do-list with a column for prioritising your goals beside it, and you should have more than enough room to jot everything down even on the busiest of days. The daily task pages also give you the opportunity to switch off from the stresses of work for a moment and take a few minutes to reflect and appreciate the little things in life each day, which I love as I try to look for the good in every day. It encourages you to list three things to be grateful for, pen some daily affirmations, record some great things that happened, and also rate your day, so even if you've been having the worst day, you can try to finish it by focusing on the positives instead of dwelling on the negatives. These are definitely my favourite features of the goal setter and I really enjoy taking a few minutes to reflect on them whenever I use the planner.

Image of an open hardback daily goal setter planner from MÃ¥l Paper photographed from above showing example pages of daily tasks.

This 244-page planner has room for six months of planning in total, and it's filled with quality 100gsm ivory paper. The paper is a decent thickness, and should accept most pens with no or minimal bleeding.

The great thing about the goal setter is that the pages aren't dated like a traditional diary. You just fill in the next page as and when you need to, so it's ideal if, like me, you don't have a busy schedule every day of the week, and don't want to have a planner full of wasted paper. Not only is this kinder to the environment, but it's more cost-effective, too.

At the back of the planner, you will also find lined pages for notes, a calendar for 2019 and 2020, and a document folder attached to the back cover to keep important slips of paper safe and secure. There are two grey ribbons for helping you keep your place, and influential quotes from the greats are dotted throughout the planner to inspire you. They really have thought of everything.

Overall, I think the MÃ¥l Paper Daily Goal Setter Planner is a fantastic planner. It's beautifully designed, great quality, well structured, and has everything you need to help you stay organised and turn your goals in to achievements. It's an ideal planner for organising everything from work to blogging to uni, and it even encourages us to be more mindful of our lives. What more could you ask for from a daily planner?!

The Daily Goal Setter is reasonably priced at just £20.95, and and you can buy yourself a copy from MÃ¥l Paper here.

Do you think the Daily Goal Setter could help you organise your life more efficiently?

*The MÃ¥l Paper Daily Goal Setter Planner featured in this post was gifted to me in exchange for a review. As always, all photos, words, thoughts, and opinions are my own.

Cath Kidston Disney Alice in Wonderland Haul

If you're a fan of Cath Kidston or Alice in Wonderland- or have just read my blog lately- you'll probably be aware that Cath Kidston recently released a highly anticipated Disney Alice in Wonderland collection.

As a big fan of both Alice in Wonderland and Cath Kidston, this is a collection I've been hoping and wishing for ever since Cath Kidston created their first Disney collection a few years ago, and it's even more perfect than I could've dreamed.

The sixty-eight piece collection features fashion, homeware, stationery, and children's ware with classic Alice in Wonderland characters and quotes from the movie beautifully entwined with original Cath Kidston prints and designs. The result is a unique and truly wonderful collection that fans of Cath Kidston and Alice in Wonderland have been going crazy for- myself included. (Not that you would've guessed with the amount of times I blogged about the range before its release, or anything).

I naturally had a Cath K Alice in Wonderland wish list as long as my arm, and thanks to a surprisingly easy pre-sale shopping experience and a nice little rebate, I was able to buy all the pieces I wanted (that I could afford). I may have gotten ever so slightly carried away and purchased eleven pieces in total (although I've since sold one), and I thought it was about time I showed you my Cath Kiston Alice in Wonderland haul.

First, let me apologise for how atrocious today's photos are. I've been struggling to edit them for months, but I just can't get them to look half-decent whatever I do, so I'm admitting defeat and posting what I've got. I know they look terrible, but I hope you won't hold it against me! You've probably already noticed that I suck at photo editing!

I'm going to start with my favourite purchase from the range, which has got to be the Alice Meadow Applique Tote £65. It's a stunning sky blue tote with a placement print of Alice sitting in a meadow of daisies watching the bread and butterflies fluttering above the flowers. It's so beautiful! I think it has got to be my favourite design from the collection. The meadow and sky stretch around all four sides of the bag, with Alice and the hybrid insects only present on the front. It also has white applique leather daisies embellishing the print, which is such a lovely touch. All I feel the imagery is missing is Dinah; she would've looked so cute sitting amongst the daisies. I can't believe Cath Kidston kept her out of the designs! The tote features long shoulder straps, a zipped inside pocket in the Alice Words print, and a clasp-fastening in the centre. It's a generous size, too, so the bag will be ideal for shopping, and those days when I need to carry everything but the kitchen sink around with me. I don't actually own any other large tote bags, so it's great to fill a gap in my wardrobe, and try a different style for a change. I honestly didn't think I was going to be lucky enough to get my hands on this bag before it sold out, so I'm so happy to have it in my collection. I know it's going to get a lot of use.

I also bought the matching Alice Meadow Continental Wallet £40, which features the same design of Alice sitting in a meadow of daisies on the outside, and the Alice Words print lining the inside. The wallet has a big zipped pocket in the centre for coins, along with five other compartments, and twelve card slots, so it has heaps of room for organising your cash, cards, and receipts. I love Cath Kidston wallets, but this one is my favourite one yet. It's just so damn pretty!

Of course, being a stationery addict, I couldn't resist buying the complimenting Alice Meadow A5 hardback notebook £10, and Alice Meadow chunky pen £7, on impulse, too. I can never resist Cath Kidston's thin-ruled notebooks because they're my favourites to write in, and the pages are always made from great quality paper. The Alice Meadow notebook is no different, and it's so beautiful with that meadow print on the front and back covers. The pages are thin-ruled, and are completely plain, which I have to admit is a little disappointing as Cath Kidston's notebooks usually have pretty CK borders and illustrations on each page, so it feels like the notebook is missing something. It's still a gorgeous notebook, and it's going to get a lot of use, but I think a few daisies or Bread and Butterflies on each page would've made this notebook a little more special.

The Alice Meadow pen was a completely frivolous purchase, but I love the way these black ball-point Cath Kidston pens make my hand-writing look, so I decided to treat myself. Well, I have to write in the Alice Meadow notebook with something, don't I? It's currently out of stock online, but might still be available in store, so it could be worth visiting your local branch.

You might be thinking I just bought up the Alice Meadow collection, but I did buy lots of other designs, as well, including the Painting The Roses Washbag £24, and matching Painting The Roses Cosmetics Bag £18. These PVC-coated-cotton cases feature sketched-style illustrations of Alice in her iconic blue dress and apron with a paintbrush in hand painting the roses red. Blue vintage-style roses of the Cath Kidston variety, to be specific. Alice blends in so perfectly with the classic Cath Kidston print, and she's quite subtle, which you might appreciate if you're not a fan of loud, in your face Disney designs. Both the wash bag and cosmetics bag have plenty of room for the essentials, so they'll be ideal for travelling, and they're also easy to wipe clean, which I'm sure will be appreciated if there's any major shampoo explosions when travelling.

I didn't need any more cases, but I still found myself adding the Set of Two Alice and Friends Pouches £15 to my order. The duo includes a large zipped polyester pouch with a sketch of Alice on a red polka dot background, and a complimenting smaller case with a grinning pink Cheshire Cat on a background of navy spots. I haven't decided whether I'm keeping them for myself or adding them to the present stash yet, but I'm sure they'll come in handy for storing craft supplies, make up, or medicine if I do decide to keep them.

One of my favourites from the whole collection has to be the Playing Cards Salt and Pepper Shakers £20. I fell in love with them as soon as I saw the preview photos of the range, and knew I had to have them. Inspired by the card men from the Alice in Wonderland movie, these amazing bone china salt and pepper shakers have been designed to look like, well... playing cards. The pepper shaker has an image of The White Rabbit who's running late for a very important date, and the salt shaker displays an illustration of Alice on a ladder preparing to paint the roses red, both complimented with Cath Kidston florals. They're so gorgeous and have such a retro feel to them. They even come presented in their own blue cardboard box, decorated with images from the Alice Words design, so they'd make such a lovely gift for an Alice in Wonderland fan. Trust me, you need these in your life!

Another of my most coveted pieces from the collection was the Alice Words Jug Vase £14. This light cream vase has a pretty sketched illustration of Alice in her blue dress and apron with quotes from the film wrapped around it, with some Cath Kidston florals and Bread and Butterflies mixed in for good measure. It's so lovely, but a lot smaller than I was expecting, which was a little disappointing as I'd hoped it would be large enough to display a bunch of flowers. It could work as a vase for some small blooms, but I'll probably make some felt flowers for it instead, or perhaps find a use for it in the kitchen.

I also treated myself to the Alice and Friends White Rabbit Mug £10. It's an off-white earthenware mug with sky blue polka dots and an adorable sketch-style illustration of The White Rabbit blowing a trumpet on either side, and it's ca-uuute! The mug is a mini Stanley mug, so it's a little smaller than I was expecting, but still the perfect size for a cuppa. There are also three other Alice in Wonderland mugs to collect from the range, including designs of some of the most beloved Wonderland characters, Alice, The Cheshire Cat and The Mad Hatter.

My biggest splurge was on the Alice Words Double Duvet Set £80, although, I decided to sell it a couple of months ago as I couldn't really afford to keep it. I loved the set, but it was too frivolous to justify keeping an £80 duvet set, and I couldn't help thinking it was a little childish for a woman in her thirties. The set was gorgeous, though. It's made from silky-soft, great-quality white cotton, and covered in quotes form the movie, including "oh, my fur and whiskers!", "when you come to the end, stop!", and "what kind of garden do you come from?". It also features beloved Alice in Wonderland characters, from Alice and The Mad Hatter, to the Dormouse, dandelion, pansies, and Bread and Butterflies, plus iconic Cath Kidston prints such as toadstools and florals. There is so much detail to it, it's almost like a giant picture book for adults. The set comes with a matching cotton drawstring pouch for storage, or it could even be used as a pyjama bag while it's in use. Unfortunately, the duvet set is sold out online in both sizes- in fact, it sold out just three minutes in to the pre-sale (I have no idea how I managed to snag one!), but perhaps try in store or eBay if you want to get your hands on it.

And that is my lovely Cath Kidston Alice in Wonderland haul!

I'm so happy with everything I bought. It's all so gorgeous, and as always, wonderful quality. If I were rich, I could've easily bought more from the range, but I managed to restrain myself. I'm still hoping to get my hands on the Alice Words Cake Stand at a later date, though!

You can find all available pieces from the Cath Kidston Alice in Wonderland collection over on Cath Kidston's website here, and of course, in Cath Kidston stores nationwide. Daisy Park also have a selection of products from the range on their website here. Most of these pieces are still available, and there's dozens of other wonderful products to shop from, too. Get them before they're gone!
