If you're one of the three people who follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I've dug out my Christmas brooches, and have been posting a 'Christmas Brooch of the Day' each day so far this December.
I have enough seasonal brooches to wear a different one every day this month, and since it would be sacrilege to have them and not use them, I'm aiming to wear them all at least once before the holidays are through.
I've accessorised with twelve Christmas brooches so far, but let's have a look at the ones I wore between December 1st to 7th:
December 1st: I kicked off the month with Santa's Surprise from this year's Merry Menagerie Collection, just because it's one of my newest brooches and I'd been dying to wear him. I love the red ripple and white glitter resins used for his suit.

December 2nd- I wore a dress covered in woodland animals to go buy a Christmas tree that day, so Breezy the Bunny, from the Merry Menagerie collection, seemed like the perfect piece to accessorise with. She's definitely one of the cutest brooches I own.
December 3rd: I was so excited to wear Seasonal Snowglobe from last year's Merry Kitschmas collection again. I don't know what it is about Erstwilder's snowglobe brooches, but I love them, and they're some of my all-time-favourites. The one makes me want to wear plaid, and go find myself a lumberjack to start an enemies-to-lovers Christmas romance with in a log cabin.
December 4th: Red Robbin from the 2020 Erstwilder x Pete Cromer Christmas collection is another of my favourites, so I never wait long to wear him again. I love how glittery he is- I mean, just look at that ruby red resin!
December 5th- Santa's Snack is apparently the hardest brooch to photograph ever, but damn is he cute. He was the gift-with-purchase brooch from last year's Merry Kitschmas collection, and probably the sweetest freebie I've ever gotten. I love how he looks like a proper gingerbread biscuit... but not how he's making me crave gingerbread, and I don't have any.
December 6th- Before you ask, no, I didn't want to build a snowman, but I did want to wear one. I went with Cozy Christmas Chap today- another one from the Merry Kitschmas range- and I think he looked pretty dapper with my black lightning-bolt print dress.
December 7th- Today felt like a day for Bright Spirits from the 2022 Modern Holiday collection. I love how they gave some traditional church candles a modern spin with bold, untraditional Christmas colours.
And those are the Christmas brooches I wore during the first week of December. I'll be back in a few days with week two's choices, but in the meantime, you can keep up to date with my Christmas Brooch of the Day posts on Instagram
here.
Do you wear Christmas jewellery, or are Christmas jumpers your limit?
