A few days ago I posted what my wardrobe looked like as part of the May blogging challenge. What I shared was a crammed space bursting with clothes with little order apart from grouping garment types together.
And seeing other, neater wardrobes I began to feel a bit embarrased so I rearranged my wardrobe by colour coordinating it... here's the end result...
I now can't find anything and want to move it all back to the disarray it was in before! A case of don't fix what ain't broke!
I'm not sure if anybody has seen, but Dorothy Perkins are offering 20 percent off full price items for the next few days. Just enter DPSUMMER20 at the checkout! I'll let you in a little tip, too- enter DPBDAY and you can get 15% off of dresses. It's a code they send out on birthdays, but it seems to have an unlimited use!
I've been admiring a few more dresses of their's again. I'm pretty sure somebody in Dorothy Perkins HQ has a little Louise-shaped voodoo doll, manipulating my brain in to buying half of their range. Somebody somewhere is probably rubbing their palms together with glee as they count up my spendings alone! Joking aside, their buying department has done a fantastic job with the selection this season! I would happily have the majority of their dresses in my wardrobe.
I'm particularly in love with this little floral beauty, but I've spent far too much already this month. In fact, I gave in and bought this polka dot dress that was in the sale for just £18.70 after discount! I actually ordered it a few months ago, but the size I ordered was a little too fitted for my liking so I sent it back but never reordered. I was a bit disappointed as it was a lovely, good quality dress- and a polka dot one, too! The next size up was the only size left in the sale, so it felt like it was meant to be.
I also really love this assymetric bird patterned dress that's also in the sale for about £25, but I'm not sure if I'd find the confidence to wear it. If it's still available in my size once I've been paid, perhaps I'll buy it then.
Oh hey, two posts! I'm commenting on this one since the comment for on the other doesn't work for me.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the new layout, the colors are so pretty and it looks very neat! Great work sweetie!
The shortened dress looks better now imo, you know I love a good midi legth but this looks better on you, if I may say so. Yaay for moms who can sew :D
The first dress in this post is my favorite, the print is beautiful.
Having a closet that's arranged by color is acutally a huge help for me, it may just take some time to get used to :)
I had too much to say today!
DeleteThanks hun! I just didn't think the old layout was right. I'm really happy with my hard work!
Thank you, I think so, too! It was just too long. I don't know why they made it so long since most girls aren't as tall as the models! My Mum really is a god-send when it comes to sewing.
I really really want the first dress. It's so pretty!
I always used to have it arranged by colour! Since I only have a small space and not enough room underneath long garments, it's a bit hard to utilise the space properly. I don't know... I might get used to it!
I absolutely love all of the Dorothy Perkins picks! Dotty P's is one of those places that I can go into half the time and not fancy anything, and then suddenly I want everything in the shop!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm exactly the same! Though this season, I'm loving all of the dresses. Last season I wasn't interested in much at all!

Thank you so much :)
DeleteI'll check out your blog now.
Loving the new look. That ASOS dress is lovely on you. Glad you bought the spotty tea dress again, it's one of my favourites! x
ReplyDeleteThank you Linz! I really don't know why I didn't reorder it to begin with- it really is a gorgeous dress. Hopefully it'll fit better this time!
Delete2 posts! what a treat, the DP dresses are sublime, i think i would have to and try on instore as i have an annoying chest for dresses, i sympathise with your wardrobe space, i have stuff shoehorned in and some left 'artfully' around my room, but i agree with pashteit, mine is colour organised (animal print section, colour shaded skirts etc- ok i may be a little obsessive!) and offers some order when i attempt to get ready for work. love the layout, love the floral print dress - i even got a little flutter of joy! and hurrah for mums who sow x
ReplyDeleteThey really are, unfortunately my back injury prevents me from leaving the house to shop, so have to do my shopping online. I love using favourite clothes as decoration! I used to have it colour coordinated before- guess we'll see what happens. Don't worry- i'm obsessive when it comes to organisation and display. Think it comes from years of visual merchandising! Thank you! I love the dress- it has to be mine at some point. Sewing Mum's are a god send!
