Hey guys,
I'm sure you're all aware of all the fabulous bargains to be had in the mid season sales right now. I personally haven't loved a season of fashion more, and the sales are packed with beautiful things instead of rejected pieces nobody actually wants.
So, I thought I'd do something a little different today. I've personally browsed the virtual sale racks for you, and put together some of my favourite personal s/s12 purchases which are now on sale! Each item is linked to its sale page, and the prices I've provided were correct at the time of publishing this post. (Don't blame me for any changes, out of stock disappointments, or any other shopping issues, I'm just the messenger!).
So, now you can shop my style for less!
ASOS
1. ASOS Curve dress in mex tex print £26.50 (originally £38.00).
2. ASOS Curve exclusive birdcage dress £22.50 (originally £38.00).
3. ASOS Curve exclusive skirt in aztec print with pom poms £17.50 (originally £35.00).
4. Models Own Wah! Nail Art Pen in blue £4.00 (originally £6.00).
5. ASOS Curve exclusive shirt dress with pleats £22.00 (originally £32.00).
6. Maggie Angus Ursula bear necklace in black £10.50 (originally £24.99).
7. ASOS adjustable enamalled and rhinestone frog ring £4.50 (originally £12.00).
If you only buy one dress in the sale, I'd urge you to go for the birdcage print dress (no 2). The image doesn't do it justice. It's one of my favourite pieces in my entire wardrobe, because the print is so cute, and the shape is lovely. I can't speak for other figures, but on an hourglass shape like my own it nips in nicely at the waist, and floats over the hips and thighs. I feel comfortable and confident in it.
The mex tex dress is really fun, but ladies be warned- it's a very long midi which came down to mid-calf on my 5'6'' frame, and you might need to shorten it if long midis aren't your style. I had mine shortened and I'm so glad I did!
You've probably seen my recent posts about the shirt dress, skirt, ring, necklace, and nail pen so I won't go in to detail again- you know I already love it all!
AX Paris
1. Polka dot summer dress in blue £17.99 (originally £38.00).
2. Fish print zip front dress £19.99 (originally £35.00).
3. Polka dot summer dress in yellow £17.99 (originally £38.00).
I have nothing bad to say about these dresses. They're all beautiful, they're all favourites of mine, and they're all bargains that are worth buying! The polka dot dresses will certainly never go out of fashion, and you'll be wearing them year after year. The fish print zip dress is super flattering, and so unusual. I can't stop wearing it.
Dorothy Perkins
1. Ivory/navy flamingo midi dress £25.00 (originally £39.50).
2. Black/white bike print dress £19.75 (originally £39.50).
3. Turquoise/pink midi dress £25.00 (originally £39.50).
4. Coral toucan moutif tee £7.00 (originally £12.00).
5. Pink flamingo midi beach dress £10.00 (originally £14.00)
6. Butterfly print sundress £15.00 (originally £25.00).
7. White palm print dress £22.00 (originally £39.50).
The flamingo dresses (no1 and no3) are some of the most amazing dresses I've ever seen or owned. If you love bird prints, kitsch, midi dresses, and don't have a very large bust then these are the dresses for you. If you do have a large chest, you might find it a little tight for you on top, and if you're quite small chested you may find a bit of excess fabric. It has an odd fit above the waist band.
Everything else also gets a thumbs up from me. I had to size up with the penny farthing and palm tree dresses as they're small fitting, and the large flamingo beach dress fits me no problem. The toucan t-shirt is more of a nude colour, and the butterfly sun dress is very nearly out of stock.
New Look
1. Lovedrobe coral crochet shrug £12.00 (originally £17.00).
2. Bright pink cropped short sleeve cardigan £7.00 (originally £10.99).
3. Light orange
4. White
5. Yellow
6. Mint Green
7. Black
I've worn these cropped cardigans over everything for two summers now. They're the perfect versatile summer cardigan- so much so that I bought them in seven colours to work with lots of outfits! The lovedrobe shrugs are the perfect crochet cardigans. They're super soft and airy, and the scalloped edging is really cute. Nita, I thought of you... the coral one is now just £12.00... it's crying out to be bought!
Accessorize
Pansy print cross body bag £11.00 (originally £22.00).
And, finally I found my new pansy satchel has been reduced further to just £11.00. It's such a pretty casual bag, and looks lovely over a denim jacket.
Well, I hope this little post has been interesting or helpful for some of you. Besides items I've already bought, there are hundreds of other amazing garments and accessories on sale so cheaply. The ASOS sale alone has dresses on sale from just £7.50 now! It's really worth having a browse for some bargains.
Great post! You need to stop tempting me into buying lovely things, I'm supposed to be saving for a wedding :) x
ReplyDeleteHaha! I can't help that things are just so pretty right now! You could buy them and call it 'honeymoon wear'! ;) x
Deleteyour a better person than me i get so annoyed when i see something i bough a full pice in the sale especially when i bought the things recently. sometimes you just don't know whether to hold out or not. i just bought a coat for £99 and now its £25 i could cry! :(hope your ok and have a great weekend I'm working boo hoo xx
ReplyDeleteI do too, but most of the above things were bought with discount codes and promotions! I almost always find a code to use for Dotty P's buys. I have to spend my limited income wisely, after all! I always worry that things I like will sell out, so I buy them before they hit the sales. That's really bad about the coat. :(. And such a big difference in price. Ouch! I'm not too bad thanks hun. Don't work too hard xx
Deleteomg I will be jumping straight online now!!! Bargains!!! :-D
ReplyDeleteToo good not to! Let me know if you buy any of it :)
