I've got the next instalment of The 5000 Question Survey for you today. If you want to know what my favourite animated movie is or what my thoughts on Kurt Cobain's suicide are, read on!
126. Would you consider yourself to be wise?
I think I'm reasonably wise, but not about everything and I still have a lot to learn.
127. Have you ever given or received a lap dance?
I can't say I have.
128. Have you ever spoken to a homeless person?
I'm sure I have, but I can't think of any examples except for when I've bought a Big Issue in town.
129. Would you ever creep into the subway tunnels to go exploring?
No! Have you not seen Cloverfield, or Creep??
130. If you could add 70 years to your life but only by making some random person die 70 years sooner would you?
No I wouldn't, because I'd spend those seventy years feeling so guilty for taking seventy years of life from someone and their loved ones.
131. Can you finish any of the following lyrics?
A: Nothing to kill or die for... And no religion, too.
B: Late comings with the late comin' stretcher... I don't have a clue.
C: I could make a film and make you my star... I don't have a clue.
132. Were you ever with someone while they died?
No.
133. Would you rather be a world political leader or a rock star?
I'd prefer to be a rock star. Nobody likes politicians and their work seems very, very dull. At least being a rock star would have its perks... even if I do sound like a bag of cats being run over by a lawn-mower...
134. Have you ever given someone a love letter that you wrote?
Nope, but I used to be the messenger giving letters from my best friend to boys she liked, back at school. She once had me hide in bushes (with her) until her love interest walked past, and had me scurry out and hand him a letter and a packet of love hearts! Awkward!
135. Have you ever sent someone a surprise though the mail?
Oh, countless times! I still send things to my best friend every now and then, if I see something I know she'll love or want. I love treating my friends and family!
136. Are you looking forward to any concerts right now?
Yes, I've got tickets to see Boyzone in December and Fall Out Boy in March. I can't wait, and hope I make it to both.
137. Of all animated movies, which is the best one you've ever seen?
I'm not sure I could choose just one. My all time favourites are Alice in Wonderland, Pocahontas, Beauty and the Beast, Robin Hood, and The Rescuers. I grew up on Disney films, watching everything from Pete's Dragon to Bedknobs and Broomsticks, The Three Lives of Thomasina and The Lion King. I still love watching them every now and then today. I love most Disney films, if I'm honest. I adore Up, although the beginning always makes me bawl, and you can't go wrong with Despicable Me, Shrek, or Anastasia.
138. What are the best bands or songs to listen to while driving?
I don't drive yet, so I don't often get a choice in what we listen to, but I love hearing: The Beatles, eighties / early nineties Madonna, movie and musical soundtracks (good to sing along to!), Michael Jackson, old eighties and nineties tunes, and that sort of thing. If I had control of the music, we'd be listening to Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Snow Patrol's Eyes Open album, Kings of Leon, Linkin Park, Ronan Keating, The Killers, Evanescence, and some Arcade Fire- mostly up beat cheery tunes to sing along to and make the journeys go fast, and old favourites.
139. What do you think is the most amazing thing that anyone has ever accomplished?
Oh, where do I start?! I personally think the camera is a pretty amazing accomplishment. It's hard to believe we can capture a specific moment in exact detail, in all the correct colours, and in just a split second to cherish forever. I can't actually get my head around how that's even possible! It's also insane how we can talk to someone on the other side of the world via a small hand held device! Or that we can fly around the world, or out in to space. Brain surgery is also impressive. Well, all our medicinal solutions are, really. Transplants, skin grafts, medical cures... the list goes on. Our capabilities as humans are just astounding.
140. What could a member of the opposite sex do to impress you?
Take me to see one of my favourite bands play live. Or better still, be in to a band, book, or movie I love... or share some other interest. I like people who are just themselves, down to earth, friendly, kind, and generally a bit silly. And tattoos always help, of course.
141. About how many emails do you get a day?
Quite a few, but I'm not sure how many. I have three email accounts, and don't always manage to check them every day.
How many of those emails are junk mail?
There's always a fair few! "Dear friend, my name is Julio, and my pet tarantula has cancer. I cannot afford the six million pound treatment that is needed to save him. Please send me five billion pounds, and the lord will reward you with eternal love...". Sound familiar? I get a dozen of these ones a day.
How many of them are forwards?
Only a handful these days, now most of that sort of thing is done over social media. Most of my emails are newsletters and promos from online stores, of which I get dozens daily.
142. What's your favourite thing to do online besides write in your diary and hang out at this site? (Meaning Livejournal).
I love to blog and read other blogs; find inspiration in the form of images and quotes through Pinterest and Tumblr; shop and window shop; and catch up with friends on Facebook.
143. Do you believe Kurt Cobain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Coba
Of course I believe he killed himself. I think the only people who would believe his death to be a conspiracy are fans who can't accept that he died and at his own hands. Suicide or accidental death in young celebrities has become far too common an occurrence now and it just seems that celebrity life can come at a price for the ones who can't deal with the life style. And for Kurt, celebrity life was lethal.
144. Have you ever though about hitchhiking across the country?
In this day and age? No. No, no, no, no, no! There are too many psychopaths in this world, and I'd no doubt find myself in a car with one of them. Is it even legal to hitch hike in England anymore? My Dad used to hitch hike up and down the country to see my Mum or work in the seventies, and one time he found himself in a car with a coffin in the back!
145. Who would you bring with you on this kind of a road trip?
Theoretically, if it was safe to hitch hike, I'd bring along my best friend.
146. Of the following, which word best describes you: accurate, bold, charming, dependable.
Accurate, because I'm always right! ;) I'm definitely not bold or charming, and I'm not sure I can be classed as dependable.
147. If you are single, at about what age do you think you will be ready to settle down and get married? If you are married, how old were you at the time?
When I was little, I assumed I'd be married with kids by now living a fairytale life happily ever after... but I've also never believed anybody would ever want to marry me. Now I'm 28... I'm not sure if it'll ever happen for me... I'm not sure I can have kids... but who knows what the future will bring... there's a lot of years ahead of me yet!
148. Do you often wonder, when you say goodbye to people, if it is the last time you will ever see them?
No, I don't think I've ever thought like that.
149. What movie are you most looking forward to seeing when it comes out?
The second part to the Hunger Games series, Catching Fire.
150. What is your quest?
To make a full recovery from my back injuries, so I can live my life to the fullest every day, and live my life well...
So, that's it for another week. If you want to give this survey a go yourself, you can find all the questions to the challenge here, and you can also catch up on all my previous answers via my 5000 Question Survey tag.
OMG you have tickets to Fall Out Boy?! I am so jealous :)
ReplyDeleteI have! I've wanted to see them play live since about 2005 so I'm so bloody excited to be going!! March can not get here quick enough! You should look out for tickets and go see them, too!
Deleteoh I do like this! so interesting! 'Up' counts as one of the best but most unexpected beginning to any film, and I really hope you get to see the concerts! I think you are charming, you are lovely! ps I hitch-hiked twice, with a friend both times, when I look back at some things I've done!! I think my poor Guardian Angel must have been worn out! x x
ReplyDeleteUp is just brilliant, but that beginning kills me! Although I guess it's good for a Disney / Pixar film to have shown life isn't just a fairy tale before he goes off on an adventure. I'm sure I'll make those concerts somehow! Even if it involves crawling there. Aww thanks. You were brave hitch-hiking, but it's definitely more dangerous now than even a few years back, and at least you did it with a friend! You're Guardian Angel obviously deserves a big Christmas bonus! Lol xx
DeleteSo glad you got boyzone tickets hope you can go I know how much you love them xx
ReplyDeleteThanks hun. One way or another I'll make it there. Old habits never die! I haven't missed a tour since their comeback yet! xx
