Look at the size of that ray!

In Madison, Wisconsin, the community has developed a Little Free Library movement, where residents have put up library boxes outside their homes for passersby to borrow or trade from! I think the idea is brilliant.

The houses in Popeye Village, Malta are adorable. They look like something out of a fairy tale.

Who knew China's rice fields could be so pretty?!

Somewhere in this photo is a black and white cat. How long does it take you to find him?

I saw this image doing the rounds on Facebook, and it took me a good five minutes to find it, but I promise you, it's there.

The term 'Mum's Taxi' has suddenly got a whole new meaning... That's one hard-working mama possum.

And some more things you might enjoy...

~  In El Salvador, which has one of the strictest anti-abortion laws in the world, innocent women who miscarry or give birth to stillborns are being suspected of inducing an abortion, jailed, and charged with murder. Many women are too scared to seek medical help when things go wrong with their pregnancies, for fear of being reported to Police... This article is shocking and so heart-breaking; I read it in tears.

~  20 Things I Wish People Understood About My Anxiety by Confessions of a Teenage Introvert. I related to this post, and would recommend giving it a read.

~  I Like Myself More on Social Media Than in Real Life.

~  What People Really Look Like by masseuse Dale Favier.

~  Why Are We So Ashamed of Periods?

~  I'm in love with this craft room tour. I wish this room would magically appear in my house!

~  Here's some adorable bats to make you smile.

~  The Eight Most Annoying Customers From Your Retail Job... I've definitely served them all in the past.

~  The 13 Coolest Tattoo Artists in the World... I'm not sure about that, but there's some pretty cool tattoos in the bunch.

~ Some more hair styles and colours I've been swooning over: these dark lavender locks, these gorgeous blue and teal tresses, all of these lilac and lavender dyes, and these braids.

~  This fiery make up tutorial is absolutely gorgeous.

~  How cute are these embroidered brooches and gift boxes?

~  I also love these personalised embroidered place settings. I'd love to do something like this with a festive theme for Christmas Day.

~  Ever wondered what bugs look like close up? Check out these freaky close ups of a fly and a tree wasp, plus this cute little dragonfly covered in dew. This tiny mantis also says 'hello'.

~  Why one tattoo artist will NOT tattoo you on your face, neck, hands or fingers... an interesting read if you're in to your tattoos.

~ I bloomin' love Rachel's new tattoo! Oh, and I love this pretty tat, too.

~  Some more OOTDs I just had to share: this navy velvet and white lace look by A Curious Fancy; this retro look by Never Sometimes TV; all of Ali Buttons' favourites; this lady looks so chic in tulle; Jennifer of Grimmricksen in stripes and polka dots; and Kaylah of The Dainty Squid in mustard and grey;

~  And finally, this awesome Dad wrote a list of ten rules to live by for his ten year old daughter..

  2. Loving that kitchen. One day it shall be mine! Also the purple hair, and the cute cat and lioncub. (Had to delete my first comment as my brain confused me and decided it was a tiger cub due to the cute ginger stripy tom!)

Shame that mans feet are ruining the Manhattan view. It's hard to think that I was recently one of those tiny spots of people walking around there! It looks better from above than it does when you're there!

    1. And mine, too! It's just beautiful. Haha! Don't worry, you'd be surprised how often people confuse lions and tigers!

I don't mind the man's feet in the shot, because it makes me feel like I'm the one sat there looking down from his point of view. I'm thinking the same thing, although it's been over two years since I was there. I actually really loved Times Square! There was something oddly charming about it!

    2. I don't often confuse my Lions and Tigers, being a cat fan I think all of the cat kingdom is very ashamed of me at the moment. They're all making sure they're sat with their backs facing me, as cats do when they're sulking!

I see what you mean about the feet, but I dunno, I find I keep looking at them instead of the view! they're oddly disturbing! I liked Times Square too, it was very bright and busy. Although I did get to the point where if one more man asked me if I liked comedy I may have exploded!

    1. It's amazing, Rachel! Such a great choice for a tattoo, and I can see why you love it as I do, too! Looking forward to seeing it when it's healed xx

  4. amazing post Louise! the periods! I don't get 'the shame', I worked with a lady whose Mum made her sit on a newspaper when she was on her period! when I was younger, and I didn't know if you could bathe?! bonkers stuff! however as a Mama to 3 girls we are very open, thank God! I can't find the cat! and I could never sit on the Norwegian cliff gah! it made my feet tingle! I love the free libraries and excellent tattoo artists (soooo good!) the stories about the ladies from El Salvador are truly heartbreaking, it is devastating to lose a child through miscarriage, but to be charged with murder as a consequence is a travesty x x x such a great post xxx

    1. Thank you, Sandra! OMG that poor lady! How utterly ridiculous. There is always those unanswered questions when you've just hit puberty. I know there were a few things like that we were all a bit clueless about- I guess down to lack of education and being too embarrassed to ask. I was always sooo embarrassed about them in my tweens / early teens and hated talking about them with anyone. It's great that you and your daughters are so open with each other. :)

It took me ages to find the cat! I couldn't sit on the cliff, either; knowing me I'd slip right off! I can only imagine how traumatising miscarriages must be, and to be treated like murderers in El Salvador for something so out of their control is absolutely heart breaking and disgusting. Something needs to be done. xx

    1. I'm definitely drawn to purple this week, but it is one of my favourite colours. Purple is just awesome; there doesn't need to be a reason! xx

  6. I guess you wouldn't be sitting in that spot, then?! The view is actually oddly comforting and fascinating to me! Can't believe you found the cat in a minute! It took me at least five minutes! xx
