I've been getting in to the Autumn spirit of late, and although I'm mourning the retirement of my favourite Summer pieces, I'm dying to embrace the new trends and layer myself up in knitwear. I'm finding myself drawn to oxblood, mustard, forest green, teal and increasingly more black! Those of you who have been following my blog for a while will know that I don't wear much black at all, but when it is combined with great detailing like lace or studs then I can't get enough of it.
At the top of my list are still the tartan flatforms, textured bow collar, and oxblood ASOS dresses but I'm sure you're sick of the sight of them, so I'll just give you the new additions to my ever-growing wish list..
I love studs and I love cardigans, so obviously this cardigan was made for me? Sadly it's a little out of my budget at the moment, but I couldn't resist dreaming. It would be such a versatile piece, as it would go with almost anything and it would get a lot of wear. It comes in a gorgeous burgundy, too.
Another cardigan, but one very different to any I currently own. I'm drawn to the beautiful lace detailing around the collar, and would probably wear this with a pair of jeans and a statement necklace.
Until today I never realised M&CO sold such pretty, feminine clothes. (I'll go in to that more in a separate post). I fell in love with this bubble hem top which has graceful little swans in shades of pink and white all over it. It's seriously girly and floaty... and just a little 'typical curvy girl event wear'. Still, it would be cute worn with jeans for an easy smart-casual look.
I'd wear this cosy looking sweater dress over leggings or tights tucked in to boots, and go for a long Autumn walk! I imagine it would feel like wearing your own fitted blanket!
I can't decide which colour I love more, the burgundy or the black, so they've both made the list. They're studded and oh so chic. I haven't got anywhere to take them just yet, but I know eventually they'd be given a lot of love. Which one do you like best?
Another studded number, another piece of knitwear. I'm sensing a theme going on here... The studs turn the simple jumper in to a subtle statement, and it gets bonus points for falling in to the oxblood category, and hitting two trends on the head. I see myself wearing this constantly when it gets a bit colder, with jeans, jeggings, or tucked in to skirts.
Mustard? Let's not be silly. Okay, let's. This dress is a fantastic way to inject a bit of brightness in to a more muted season. Sweater dresses paired with leggings or tights and a pair of boots make a cosy A/W outfit, and a great alternative to jeans and a jumper. The length of the dress and the sleeves are perfect, and the v-neck gets two thumbs up from me. I've warmed to mustard over the last few years; I was never sure what my feelings were to it when it made a comeback at the end of the noughties, but I'm embracing it now.
Another pop of mustard, and oh how I love the bunny motif! Perfect for wearing with all this burgundy!
I actually ordered this cardigan a month or so ago, but I had to send it back as it swamped me. I was sad to return it as it was so thick and warm, and perfect for the cold weather, so I hope to reorder it in a smaller size before it gets too cold.
Well, you know me and polka dots... If you don't, you must be new here. So, hello, my name is Louise and I'm a tad obsessed with dots and spots. The forest green colour was what lured me in. It's so elegant and I can't get enough of it. If you ask me, there aren't enough dark green clothes.
After the success of my round neck Matalan cardis, I just have to get this longer boyfriend cardi, too. I would wear it with just about everything, so it's price per wear would be practically free! Plus cobalt blue is one of my favourite colours, and works all year round. SOLD!
I'm not one who's usually drawn to this type of dress, but I adore the lace sleeves! If you're a dress-lover like me you'll know that sleeved dresses are so hard to come by these days. And, you know what they say, you can never have too many little black dresses.
I have plenty of summer shrugs, but not much of anything for Autumn/Winter. This gorgeous lacy shrug would be perfect for layering over a dress or jumpsuit for a Christmas party or gathering, don't you think?
It has ducks and swans on it! Do I need another reason to want it? It's so cute!
I could never afford all the lovely things on each of my weekly wish lists, but it doesn't hurt to pretend, does it?
Which piece is your favourite, and are any of them on your own dream shopping lists?
oh no louise you're making me want everything :( great picks as always, now the question is which will you buy first?! xxx
ReplyDeleteSorry, it's all tempting! I have no idea how I will choose! xx
