Day Eight: Three Films
I love nothing more than curling up with a good movie and switching off for a couple of hours. I've built up quite a collection of DVDs over the last ten years or so, so it's going to be hard to narrow them down to just three! I particularly love chick flicks, disaster movies, and anything to do with the end of the world.
1. Titanic
The film has been my favourite since I saw it in the cinema all those years ago aged eleven. I must have seen it over a hundred times. I could recite the whole film back to you, and never get tired of watching it. I still cry watching it even now, because the ending is so tragic. It's awful imagining what the passengers of the ship actually went through that night.
2. Sex and the City
What can I say? It's set in New York, and features heavily on amazing fashion- what's not to love? It's the perfect girlie movie to watch with a glass of wine and some munchies. I adored Carrie's wardrobe in this film, and loved Jennifer Hudson's character Louise.
3. The Family Stone
The Family Stone is one of my all time favourites, and my favourite film to watch at Christmas. It's about a free-spoken bohemian family who are celebrating Christmas together, and don't like the girlfriend of one of the brothers who is meeting them all for the first time because they don't think she's right for him. It's a movie filled with famous actors- Diane Keaton, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel McAdams, Luke Wilson, Dermot Mulroney, Craig T Nelson, Claire Danes... I love this movie so much! Please do me a favour and watch it!!
Others high on my list of favourites are: You've Got Mail, Practical Magic, Steel Magnolias, The Devil Wears Prada, The Time Traveler's Wife, Dirty Dancing, Walk The Line, Julie and Julia, and Mamma Mia.
If you haven't seen any of the above, make sure you check them out!
Love your choices! All three great movies! And I also still cry during Titanic...
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think it's almost impossible not to cry at Titanic! I bawled when I saw it in 3D at the cinema back in April!
