Wednesday Wish List

These long-sleeved Lyra dresses from Lady Vintage's Lady Voluptuous collection are so gorgeous.

This iridescent mock-croc clutch bag from Skinny Dip is really fun.

Lindy Bop are still rolling out heaps of amazing new dresses and skirts, and they're all so pretty I could cry. Mostly because I don't have enough zeros on the end of my bank balance to afford a Lindy Bop spree. The prints on these new pieces are fantastic; there are flamingos, puffins, swimmers, lemons, florals, hearts, musical notes, cats and birdcages and even a couple of pieces that feature classic Alice in Wonderland prints! My favourites are the Clarissa swimmer print tea dress, the purple Ophelia Alice in Wonderland print swing dress, and the Juliet green puffin print tea dress- I adore the prints, the styles of the dresses, and the gorgeous colours of the fabrics.

I love these fun swing dresses from Boohoo Plus. With the exception of the tartan number, they're perfect if you want to embrace the Halloween spirit but don't want to dress in fancy-dress.

Dorothy Perkins have so many beautiful dresses right now. I'm smitten with more than just these nine.

These two dresses from ASOS Curve tick all the right boxes. The smock dress must be mine.

These brocade bags from ASOS are absolutely stunning. The fabric and prints are to die for.

Aldo's blush lips clutch, and Monki's fox coin purse are adorable.


I love this ring from Wolf and Moon. The good news is, it has an adjustable band, so it should fit almost all fingers; even chubby ones like mine.

And last but not least, I need one of these amazing mermaid blankets from Club L, so I can pretend I'm actually a mermaid. These must be the best blankets ever made!

My Favourite Things To Do In The Autumn

Just a quick one from me today, as I'm just back from a hospital appointment and am so shattered I can barely keep my eyes open. 

Now we're officially in Autumn, I thought it would be a good time to share a list of 50 of my favourite things to do in the Autumn, so that is exactly what I'm going to do.

1.  Go for long walks, preferably in the countryside.
2. Crunch through paths of fallen leaves.
3. Take photos of the colourful, pretty scenery.
4. Listen to the sound of the rain.
5. Curl up under cosy blankets, and read for hours.
6. Visit museums.
7. Explore cemeteries.
8. Buy new school supplies / stationery- even though I've not been a student in thirteen years!
9. Shop for new gloves, scarves, hats, and winter coats..
10. Watch fireworks pirouette across the night sky.
11. Go to bonfires.
12. Play with sparklers (responsibly, obviously!) like an overgrown child.
13. Wear ankle boots with everything.
14. Watch Halloween-themed films and scary movies.
15. Spend dark, cold, dreary days cross stitching.
16. Crunch over frost-covered grass. (Am I the only one who finds that satisfying??)
17. Carve pumpkins.
18. Spend free time at home crafting.
20. Paint my nails in gorgeous deep jewel tones.
21. Wear clothes and accessories in deep colours like burgundy, forest green, raspberry, plum, teal, mustard, rust, and emerald.
22. Eat comfort food.
23. Bake delicious food. 
24. Watch The Bake Off.
25. Take long hot bubble baths.
26. Write to my heart's content.
27. Take trips to the theatre to watch musicals.
28. Start lighting candles every evening again. (I don't tend to burn candles during the warmer seasons; I reserve them for those cosy cold, dark evenings in).
29. Go shopping for new Yankee Candles. (At this time of year, I love the ones that smell of baked goods).
30. Go blackberry picking.
31. Spend time walking around beautiful Oxford- it's so pretty in the Autumn.
32. Go for a walk in the rain, get soaked (on purpose), and come home to a hot shower, and comfy PJs.
33. Eat soup with freshly baked bread.
34. Get a fresh hair cut- new season, new me.
35. Start preparing for Christmas.
36. Have pamper evenings- face masks, mani pedis, delicious food, a few drinks, the works.
37. Make blackberry and apple crumbles, and apple pies.
38. Breathe in the smell of bonfires and wood fires.
39. Barricade the windows and doors to keep out daddy-long-legs'. (Failing that, just burn the house down!)
40. Prise conkers out of their green, thorny pods.
41. Drink hot mugs of cocoa.
42, Have movie marathons in my PJs, wrapped up warm like a burrito under cosy blankets.
43. Learn something new.
44. Take random drives in the country. (The Cotswolds, which I live just on the edge of, are picture postcard pretty during the Autumn, so random drives are always gorgeous at this time of year).
45. Go to a farmer's market.
46. Spend time outdoors.
47. Watch a scary movie at the cinema- the suspense and scare factor is always more intense.
48. Dig out my sketch book and art supplies and spend time drawing and painting.
49. Lie back and look up at the stars, while wrapped up warm.
50. Go to a zoo or wildlife park.

Once again, I'm in love with pretty much all of Lindy Bop's latest arrivals. Just look at these amazing dresses and skirts; they're all to die for! The prints are fantastic; there are fox prints, cat prints, cocktails and handbag prints, florals, and even Russian doll prints. Obviously, my favourite is the Lana fox print swing dress (#1), but I would love them all to come live with me.

My Tsum Tsum Collection

Earlier this year, I started collecting Disney Tsum Tsums, the cute little Kawaii-style soft toys that have become the Beanie Babies of today. 


I have a handsome little collection of eighteen so far, which isn't a lot compared to other collectors, but I thought it would be fun to show you what I've collected so far anyway.


From top, left to right:

Elliot // Absolem caterpillar // Absolem butterfly // Tweedle Dum // Tweedle Dee.
Cogsworth // Beast // Queen of Hearts // March Hare // Mad Hatter // Dormouse.
Baloo // Kaa // Pascal // Alice (series two) // Alice (series one) // The White Rabbit // The Cheshire Cat.


The majority of my collection is made up of Alice in Wonderland characters. It's my favourite Disney film, and one I've been ever so slightly obsessed with it since I was really young, so when the Alice in Wonderland Tsum Tsums came out, I had to have them. 



I missed the first collection, which I think came out last year, but I managed to find Alice, The White Rabbit, and The Cheshire Cat at Clintons at the beginning of the year, and that is when my collection began. After that, I started collecting the second series when it came out in the Spring, but as it sold out within minutes, I built up the collection slowly through eBay, presents from Disney World, and reappearances on the Disney Store website this Summer. The designs were all so perfect that I just couldn't resist them, especially the Tweedles and Absolem the caterpillar and butterfly. Once I track down The White Rabbit, and The Cheshire Cat, I'll have the full collection!

Over the Summer, I also added Baloo, Kaa, Pascal, Cogsworth, The Beast, and Elliot the dragon to my little collection. Baloo and Kaa were supposed to be presents for my little sister's birthday, but she bought them not long after I did, so I just kept them for myself.

If I had to choose favourites, I would have to go with Elliot the dragon, and Absolem the butterfly. They're the most adorable soft toys ever! Elliot has the cutest little pink Mohawk, and even has noughts and crosses on his stomach, and Absolem, well he knows how to rock a pair of butterfly wings while maintaining an air of indifference. 

I've become really fond of Tsum Tsums this year, and I know my collection will just keep on growing. I have a feeling this won't be the last you'll hear about them from me!

Wednesday Wish List

This week, I've mostly been lusting after all of Lindy Bop's latest arrivals, so it only seemed right that I dedicate this week's wish list entirely to my latest Lindy Bop crushes. Eighteen of them, to be precise.

Since we're heading in to Autumn, it seems like an odd time of year for the arrival of new gingham sun dresses, but these Corinna swing dresses are absolutely perfect, so who cares? I want one in every colour! A girl can never own too much gingham.

The Bonnie gingham swing dresses are so classic, and remind me of primary school dresses. (Ours were red and pink, but as my sisters and I were tall kids, our Mum usually made ours herself, so I think I only had a 'proper' one once). Now I'm tempted to buy one in every colour and live the dream! Ha ha! 

I'm also loving the pink Brittany lipstick-print dress. I already own in it blue, but the pink is just so pretty I might need it, too. The dress is amazing! It isn't just made of the most awesome lipstick and lip print fabric, but it has sleeves, a heart-shaped cut out to the back, and pockets! Yes, pockets! Heart-shaped pockets, to be exact. It's basically the most perfect dress in creation.

I'd quite like to own the two Bernadette lipstick print swing skirts, too.

The Gilda Paris border swing dress is so beautiful, and I love the bright, quirky handbag-print of the Emily shirt dress.

The new border-print pieces are so eye-catching, and I'm particularly loving these gorgeous swing skirts. The Venice-bordered Contessa skirt is stunning, and the Carnaby Street Daniella looks so effortlessly cool and stylish.

My favourite pieces out of all the latest arrivals, have to be these Brittany heart print frocks. Just look at them! The ditsy heart prints are a fun alternative to polka dots, and the heart-shaped pockets, and cut out to the back, are such a cute touch. They're absolute perfection in my eyes!

These floral Dayton swing dresses have the most interesting floral prints, and I think I quite like them.



And last but by no means least, is the Annie floral swing dress. I'm a little in love with it's gorgeous, bold floral print, and the style is so wearable.

Wednesday Wish List

This week I've got my beady little eyes on...

It's not often I get excited about a piece of knitwear, but these cardis and sweaters from Lindy Bop are adorable. I love the red, white, and mustard colour palette, and the scalloped floral detail on the cardigans looks so pretty.

Lindy Bop have also just released the most amazing collection of dresses and skirts. Just look at how pretty these two beauties are! I need that Daniella black swan skirt in my life.

I'm in love with so many of Lindy Bop's new dresses; they're all stunning! The Delta black swan and Carnaby Street border swing dresses (#1 and #3) are particularly beautiful, and I'm dying to add them to my collection. I mean, just look at them; they're perfect! It seems they've already sold out since landing late last week, but I'm hoping they'll be restocked soon.

I'm loving the latest selection of Lyra dresses from Lady Vintage. The colour palette is gorgeous.

One of my favourite things about Autumn is getting to wear cosy knit hats, scarves, and gloves again, and even though it's not quite cold enough for them yet, I already have my eye on these pieces from Accessorize. I'm loving all of their beanie pom hats, particularly the tan, and the Felicity fox capped gloves are adorable.



I want this orange dot pumpkin swing skirt from Unique Vintage to wear this Halloween! It's so fun.
