Wednesday Wish List

Hey guys,

It's time for this week's Wednesday Wish List...

1 // 2 //

So, last week I spent a blissful half hour browsing through all the beautiful dresses on the Lindy Bop website. I've been admiring them from afar for years, but I think that was my first visit to their website! Why didn't I visit sooner? I'm so surprised to see that everything is extremely affordable, and that they cater to sizes 8-26UK!! That's right, ladies, they do plus sizes!

I ordered the gingham Audrey swing dress last week with my birthday money, and it arrived yesterday. It's beautiful; it sits below the knee, and the quality of the fabric  is fantastic. It's the perfect gingham dress I've been looking for... only it was a bit snug. I'll be exchanging it for the next size up. I already sized up once, so if you want a little more room, size up twice! I just had to share it with you guys because it's so beautiful!

I'm now coveting 99% of their lines, and will be making it my mission to purchase the chocolate polka dot dress very soon. (And then the red, the navy, and so on)! I've been searching for a brown polka dot prom / swing dress for years; probably all thanks to that dress in Pretty Woman... and this has to be the one! I actually went out to lunch at a local diner the other day, and I'm certain one of the waitresses was wearing the exact dress- I wasn't brave enough to ask- but if I'm right, the dress is a stunner!

I also love the emerald green chiffon Serena prom dress. How beautiful would that dress look during the Winter? If it's still available come Autumn, I may just have to make it mine.

ASOS Curve have some pretty new dresses and playsuits that have caught my eye. I particularly love the mixed floral print polka dot skater dress, which combines two of my favourite prints; polka dots and florals! It's a classic. It's now high on my wishlist, and would be perfect for wearing all year round.

The lace trim playsuit is absolutely gorgeous. I've been thinking of investing in a couple of playsuits to wear around the house when it's hot. I've never owned one before, but I am tempted by this one.

And the bird print dress is so pretty, although I think the pale pink would wash my very milky white skin out. I don't wear pastels very often for that very reason, but I do make exceptions for clothes I love.

Sunflowers are one of my favourite flowers, and I've loved all the sunflower prints that have been around this season for the nineties trend... although, I still don't own a single sunflower print anything! Well, I bought a sunflower print jumpsuit a couple of months ago, but that wasn't to be. So, when I saw this sunflower print jersey maxi dress by AX Paris, I may have fallen in love with it immediately, and would have bought it there and then if I could've. It would be perfect for wearing almost everywhere during the summer.

I LOVE these fish-shaped bags by Don Fisher Shop. They're so wonderfully quirky! I've never seen a fish-shaped bag before, but I'm smitten. There are fourteen different designs to choose from, including Salmon, Sardine, and Sea Bass.

I definitely do not need another new bag right now, but that hasn't stopped me from appreciating some new ones through my computer screen. The pastel baby blue micro satchel by Zatchels, the quilted bunny ears ASOS bag, and the Pick Of The Critter bag from Modcloth are all calling my name. I already have the bunny ears bag in mint, but the black version would be a fun alternative for the colder months.

And finally, let's talk about shoes. Modcloth always have the cutest shoes; I would love to slip my feet in to the Leading Rainbow and the Proudly Posh peacock feather flats. Aren't they amazing?

I'm equally crazy about the gingham Rocket Dogs, which would go perfectly with some of my favourite prom dresses. They're currently on sale on Sarenza, so now's the time to swoop if you want a bargain!

I also really like the caged gladiator heeled sandals by New Look. They would effortlessly toughen up some outfits, and finish off many nineties-inspired looks. And the good news is, they're also wide fit!

What's on your wish list this week?

Which of these are your favourites?

  5. Ahhhh Lindy Bop! aren't their dresses gorgeous? I have quite a few as I can't fit into actual vintage dresses (or I haven't found on that fit's me yet!) their sizings are a bit odd, a lot of the dresses seem to be different fittings (check the sizings underneath each dress, they really do vary) but they do make you feel like a Queen - I can't wait to see you in the beautiful gingham dress! x x x
