Sunday Favourites #86

Hi guys,

I hope you're all having a great weekend so far. What have you all been up to?

I have nothing interesting to report from mine; I've not strayed far from bed. The most eventful part of my Saturday was putting this post together, but I hope you'll enjoy it! Shall we get started?

This piece of art is so cute, and I couldn't agree more with it's slogan. Love the skin you are in!

I'm in love with the stunning tiger tattoo in this photo. I love the swan, too, but the tiger has to be one of the most beautiful tattoos I've ever seen! The colours and the shading are gorgeous.

This bird (kingfisher?) tattoo is also a beauty.

... on the people who do this to our children. Women are to blame, too, and pressure to look a certain way isn't gender exclusive.

Amen. Your opinion of yourself is the only one that truly matters.

I loved Kate's hallway tour; her home is always so pretty. I especially love how she converted her airing cupboard in to a book case! Genius idea if you never have enough room for all those books.

I love the pretty pastel make up in this photo, and those tangerine lips look amazing!

This green eye make up look is absolute perfection. You just can't go wrong with green eyes!

A little frog resting in the rose petals.

Parrot Flower

Nature never fails to astonish me, and this week I came across these flowers that look like animals and other things. They really do look like the things they were named after! They're equal parts beautiful and incredible. There are many more at the source which are worth having a look at if you like unusual flowers.

Just look at this adorable little skunk!

A Brazilian artist called Henrique Oliveira has created this amazing sculpture of giant twisted tree roots out of recycled wood, and they're so big they can be explored from the inside through a network of giant tunnels.

Contrary to popular belief, pigs actually do fly; well, this one does, anyway. Kama the orphaned pig was adopted by a man named Kai and his family, and soon learnt how to surf before mastering the art of flying with his human. Now I've heard everything!

Arnaud Lajeunie, a Paris-based photographer, has created this beautiful series "Water Meets Colour, Colour Meets Water" using sugar-based dyes, and I could sit and look at them for hours. They're mesmerising. He captures stunning images of the ocean waves surging with vibrant colours- from acid green to deep indigo- which depart from the traditional landscape to challenge the viewer to reconsider the relationship between humans and nature.

In the village of Bilin, near the State of Palestine's de facto capital of Ramallah, a woman has been planting spent tear-gas grenade shells, (used during clashes between local Palestinians and Israeli soldiers), with flowers as a display of peace. There's something incredibly moving about this simple symbol of hope.

Biddy the 3 year old African pygmy hedgehog likes to go on around the world adventures with his humans.

Best design for a table ever!

Sad, but true. We need to cease life now because we never know what's around the corner, and sometimes we only get one shot at our dreams and experiences.

This little rhino was rescued by a endangered species centre when he was just three months old, when he was found crying next to his mother who had been killed by poachers. Now named Gertjie, he is being well cared for by the rescue centre where he will stay until he is old enough to be released in to a wildlife reserve.

It angers me that in this day and age, people are still killing innocent animals for their horns, tusks, fur... I will never understand how anybody can kill an innocent animal and take a life just for a BODY PART. Sometimes I think man isn't going to stop poaching until every animal on this planet is extinct.

This crazy Lovebird.

I could sit and watch this GIF for hours! I love toucans; they're so beautiful and this little guy is a real character. The source links to the video and a Youtube page dedicated to Paco the toucan, who is some lucky person's pet! You may find yourself glued to Youtube for a while!

This is so cute!

♥ A mother judged a biker by his looks. His response shamed her.The lesson? Never judge a book by its cover!

♥ 15 people who could have used a helping hand. Am I an awful person for laughing at so many of these?!

and finally,

♥ This video of a hummingbird snoring is adorable!
