The 5000 Question Survey: Questions 76-100

Hey guys,

I've got another installement of the 5000 Question Survey for you today, and today I'm sharing questions 76-100. I'm just going to dive right in because there's already so much to read.

76. Do you prefer Disney or Warner Brothers?

Disney, without a doubt. You can't go wrong with a classic Disney film. I've loved them pretty much all my life.

77. What is the first animal you would run to see if you went to the zoo?

I'm always eager to go see the tapirs and giraffes.

78. Would you consider yourself to be romantic?

I think so... not that there's much romance happening around these parts right now.

79. If the earth stopped rotating would we all fly off?

Why the hell are you asking me? I'm not a scientist!

80. What is the one thing that you love to do so much that you would make sacrifices to be able to do it?

Going to gigs and concerts. It's my favourite pasttime above everything else, and I've been known to do whatever I can to be able to go see my favourite bands play live. The sacrifices are always worth it.

81. If you (and everyone) had to lose one right or freedom, but you could pick which one everyone had to lose, what would you pick?

The right to keep animals as pets. I don't think everybody should automatically have that right. I would change the law so pet owners would have to meet certain criteria and be home-checked before being allowed to keep animals. Perhaps that way there'd be less animal abuse and neglect in the world. I don't understand why some people buy pets, only to get bored with it a week later, starve it. and leave it to die.

82. If you had to choose would you live on the equator or at the North Pole?

I would probably choose to live at the equator. It would be lovely to live somewhere tropical where I could swim in the sea and wear dresses without freezing to death! Could I holiday at the North Pole?

83. Would you rather give up listening to music or watching television?

Watching television. I could never give up listening to music because I love it so much and can't function without it, but TV is mostly a load of crap. I would still be able to watch DVDs, though, right?

84. What do you think makes someone a hero?

When someone does something selfless to help another person or animal to save them from harm, or come to their aide when they've been harmed, are in distress, or are in desperate need, even if it isn't their job to do so.

85. What cartoon would you like to be a character in?

Bob's Burgers! I love Tina, Louise, and Gene... I think I'm a mixture of all three of them!

86. Name one thing that turns your stomach:

The smell of bacon. It makes me feel physically sick.

87. What was the last thing you paid for?

I bought a Christmas present for my brother-in-law over the weekend.

88. Are you a coupon clipper?

I generally only use coupons I come across that are offering a discount in clothing stores I shop at. I rarely remember to use other coupons for anything else, even when I've got them. So, no!

89. Get anything good in the mail recently?

The other day I had a book, two cardigans, a Christmas present for my brother in law, and some look books arrive for me on the same day. It felt a little like Christmas.

90. Which would you rather take as a gym class...dancing, sailing, karate, or bowling?

Bowling would be so much fun! Or sailing! Why weren't these things options when I was at school??

91. In Star Trek people 'beam' back and forth between different places. What this means is they stand in a little tube and their molecules are deconstructed and sent to another tube somewhere else where they are reassembled. Only problem is when the molecules are deconstructed the person is dead. When they are put back together it is only a clone that has all the dead person's memories. So...
Is the person who gets beamed the same person on both ends?

A. Yes, because the molecules made the person who they were, and they were just travelling in a different form between deconstruction and reconstruction. B. Who cares?

92. What insects are you afraid of?

Spiders, Daddy Long Legs, moths, and anything winged that dive bombs me. I'm not keen on moths because of that reason.

93. If you could print any phrase on a T-shirt, what would it say?

I wasn't supposed to put beef in the trifle!

94. What's the most eccentric thing you have ever worn?

Nothing in particular springs to mind, (I've probably suppressed a few memories!) but I think a lot of people would call my style eccentric at times. I'm almost always clothed in bold colour and random prints, with handbags shaped like animals, and the most random jewellery. My style is a bit different to your average English lady.

95. If you could pick one food that you could eat all you wanted but it would have no effect on how much you weigh, what food would it be?

That's a toss up between custard, bread, and Chinese food. Just not together.

96. What are your parents interested in?

My Dad loves to play golf. He enjoys going to auctions and selling his bargain finds on. He loves anything vehicle related and can talk about them for hours (which bores my Mother to tears), and he's always loved music- mostly music he listened to growing up in the fifties and sixties.

My Mum enjoys cross stitching, which is something I remember her doing pretty much all my life. She loves to read, has lately become addicted to Candy Crush on her iPad (seriously, when did my Mum become so modern?), really loves jewellery-especially earrings and Pandora, and also loves music.

Between the two of them, I grew up on The Beatles, Elvis, Motown, Luther Vandross, The Beach Boys, and so many others from their generation. My Dad loves the classics, but my Mum is often found listening to someone more modern.

97. Have you ever caught an insect and kept it as a pet?

Not that I can remember. I'm not a fan of insects in the slightest.

Have you ever caught and tamed a wild animal?

I've cared for a lot of animals in my time, but mostly pets, farm birds, and zoo critters. I can't remember looking after a wild animal for long. I caught a shrew at work, once, when I worked in a pet shop in a department store. It suddenly appeared in the middle of the department, and I think it had been posioned, so I scooped it up, and popped him in an empty hamster tank in the back room. I gave it some food, water, and shelter for a few hours, and then released it out in to a field. Killing it would probably have been kinder, but I couldn't ever kill a living thing on purpose.

98. What is more helpful to you, wishes or plans?

Plans. As much as I wish that certain things would (or would not) happen, nothing ever comes from wishing. Plans make things happen; plans make life happen. Plans can give me something to look forward to, and memories to look back on. I'd rather make plans than sit back and have faith in wishes.

99. When do you feel your life energy the strongest?

When I'm at a concert; when I'm swimming in the sea; when I'm on holiday; and during the bad times. When life's a struggle, I find myself determined to put up a fight to get through it.

100. You are spending the night alone in the woods and may bring only 3 items with you. What do you bring?

1. Matches, so I can make a fire for warmth and perhaps cook food over it.
2. A tent for shelter from the elements.
3. Water, so I don't die of dehydration. Not that that would happen in one night.

I'd fashion a weapon out of a large tree branch just in case I need to fend off the psychopaths.

If you want to give the 5000 Question Survey a go yourself, you can find all the questions on Livejournal here. I hope you guys are enjoying these posts. I'd love to know what you think about them, so please let me know if you like or hate reading them!

  1. Oh gosh I'm so scared of moths, which I know is crazy because I like butterflies and really they're not a lot different. But, they eat clothes - omg.

    1. It's not crazy at all! I like butterflies, too, but moths have really started to freak me out. I kept getting dive bombed by them every night from July til a few weeks ago, and left me on edge every night! And anything that eats clothes is just evil! Haha!

    1. I've not used Livejournal in such a long time, and I never did much with it anyway. It's sad it's dying off now, though. The smell of any bacon cooking makes me gag, and since everyone else at home loves it, it gets cooked far too often for my liking. I don't like the smell of much meat cooking, to be honest. Yuck! xx
