Tattoo Inspiration: Labyrinth

There are some films that stay with you for a life time, and one of my all time favourites is the cult classic 'Labyrinth.'

I grew up watching it from a young age with my sisters, and it's one of those films which we've always been a little obsessed with. We've watched it countless times and still find ourselves quoting lines in normal conversation. "Which way do you want to go? Up or down? She chose down?!" "Did you say 'hello'? No, I said " 'ello", but that's close enough." (Yes, we're completely insane!) I never get tired of watching it, and although I've never had a crush on David Bowie in his super tight leggings, like my two sisters, I always wanted to be Sarah and make friends with Hoggle, Ludo, and the little blue worm, and go to the masquerade ball. The film is perfection... except for the Fierys- please keep them away from me, they still freak me out twenty years on!

Anyway, when I came across a Labyrinth inspired tattoo on Pinterest a few days ago, my eyes practically popped out of their sockets with amazement, leading me to do a quick search to see if I could find any more. The search came up with a few dozen results, causing me to go on a bit of a pinning binge, pinning almost every Labyrinth tat I stumbled up on. In my defence, I couldn't help it; they were all so amazing! I'm always inspired by beautiful works of art in tattoo form, and although I'd touched on the idea of getting the little blue worm tattooed on me before, the thought of getting a larger piece like a sleeve or a back piece hadn't. I'm now oh so tempted, but for now, I'll just admire them from afar, and share my favourites with you guys!

Aren't they all incredible? I don't think I can even choose a favourite... I want them all!

What do you think? Do you love Labyrinth as much as I do? Would you get a tattoo of a cartoon or movie character inked on your skin for eternity?

Or do you already have one?

    1. There's some real art in this bunch, for sure. I would happily cover myself in tattoos, but I know they're not everyone's cup of tea. I do think they'd really suit you, though! xx

  3. Whoa, there are some seriously impressive tattoos in there. Labyrinth was the first film I saw at the cinema. I must rewatch it again soon. I might have a LOTR themed tattoo at some point. x x

  5. These are amazing, I have loved Labyrinth since I was a kid. I have a few labyrinth t-shirts. I especially like the quote tattoos and the detail on the sleeves are brilliant.
