Wednesday Wish List

Last week's Wednesday Wish List had an unintentional woodland animal theme, and this week's is different yet again. After piecing everything together, I noticed I'm already leaning towards Autumn and Winter friendly pieces... and black and white sea birds, apparently!

I don't want to wish the remainder of summer away; the thought of short days and dark evenings is already being dreaded, but I am looking forward to dressing for Autumn. I love the deep colours, the textures, the layering up in a winter coat with gloves and scarves... if only September to April wasn't so dark and gloomy!

My favourite finds this week are probably the classic tweed look cape and the heart print shirt dress, both from Dorothy Perkins. The cape is absolutely beautiful and would no doubt look effortlessly stylish over a great pair of jeans and boots season after season. (I want!) And the shirt dress is a great classic style with a fun print- it's just a shame it's almost sold out online. (I think it's just landed, too.) I hope I can find it in store.

I think the River Island bowler bags are stunning, too, especially the plum design, and I adore the green ASOS Curve duffel coat- there should be more clothes in that colour. I'm also quite taken with the penguin winter knits by People Tree. I have so many gloves and scarves already, but there will always be a place for penguins!

Honourable mention also goes to the gorgeous Breton striped Puffin tee by People Tree. Sadly it doesn't go larger than a size 14, but oh how I wish it did!

What are you coveting right now?

  2. There is so much in this post that I want, but particularly the tweed coat and heart print dress from Dorothy Perkins, sadly neither of which would fit me. The coat is just what I am looking for for Winter though. You have such great taste, as always x

    1. Aw that's such a shame. The fitted waisted dresses do come up so small in DP (I always have to size up), but the cape could potientially fit a size or two bigger, depending on how flared it is! I'd love to own it, but it's a little expensive. The coat is gorgeous, though, isn't it! Thank you :) xx

  3. Love the green colour of that coat and I've just bought the other puffin tee like this from People Tree, which is the same shape but with tiny puffin print on white. The sleeves are crazy tight and it's not the most flattering shape to be honest, but I love it.
There's a mens' version of the breton puffin tee, which might go bigger.
(Unless it's weird to buy mens' clothes? I totally do sometimes).

    1. I saw a couple of tops with the smaller puffin print and they're adorable! I bet it looks amazing on you! I didn't actually think of checking the menswear, but that could work. I don't mind shopping from the men's section, but it would probably need a few adjustments to look right xx

  4. That cape... *siiiigh*
I've always wanted one but idk, they never look right one me :( the one you picked is beyond beautiful though, it's a real classic!

Also those bags are gorgeous... just the right amount of structure imo, and the colors are super pretty.

    Really cute selection, Louise! :)

I think this one would look fabulous on you! I have the same problem with coats and jackets in general; it's so hard to find the perfect ones for my shape. I've never tried a cape before, so I don't know if they'd even suit me (I fear they might shorten me and make me look like I'm wearing a mumu). The DP one is definitely a classic, though!

I completely agree with you about the bags. They're stunning.

      Thanks, Nita :)
