This Autumn I want...
Like most fashion loving shopaholics, I have to stick to a personal spending budget each month. My mind is constantly staging a battle starring want versus need. Usually, want keeps the spotlight for longer and wins (yes, I do need another polka dot dress to stop my 259 other polka dot dresses from being lonely...) Then as soon as the weather turns, I realise how many gaps I have in my wardrobe and I wonder if I should have been considerate and pitched for need instead. Then I remember the dress I just have to have, or the shoes I must own because they'd look amazing with that dress, and forget all about practicality and just follow my frivolous little heart instead.
I'll probably never change this old habit. Although I've had a little thought about what I do need this Autumn, and about the things I have my heart on, and there are some that cross over so I'd be able to kill two birds with one stone! Hopefully I'll be able to pick up all the things I both want and need to compromise!

What's on your want and need lists this Autumn? Are you usually practical and buy the things you need, or are you more of a magpie like myself and buy anything that catches your eye?
even if I just want it I convince myself I need it!there are so many things on my shopping list at the moment it's unbelievable.& so unfortunate I have a million uni books to buy first :(
ReplyDeleteYeah, I go by the same theory too! I find Autumn such a difficult time for updating the wardrobe. There's always so many outgoings. :(

ReplyDeleteI really am knitwear obsessed, but I don't have that many scarves any more, honest! I do own about 50 dresses now, though... could still do with a few more... I ordered a few of the things I wanted today including a snood. It's burgundy and teal polka dotted! xx
