The Discount Coder Blog's ASOS competition

The lovely Hannah of Daisies and Dr Martens very kindly let me know about a competition the lovely folks over at The Discount Coder Blog are currently running. To celebrate
reaching 1000 Twitter followers, they are giving one lucky reader the chance to win a £100 ASOS voucher. Fantastic, right?

All you have to do is put together an outfit from ASOS's extensive selection that comes to £100 or less. (The use of discount codes or vouchers to lower the price of your picks is cheating!) And then blog about your outfit before leaving a comment on The Discount Coder Blog with the link to your entry. Simple as that.

So being a big fan of ASOS myself, I happily browsed through pages and pages of beautiful things to put my own entry together. This is the outfit I came up with...

2. Floaty midi skirt in green £17.50
4. Hedgehog clutch £25.00
5. Rimmel London I Love Lasting Finish Nail Polish in Black Cab £2.00
6. Johnny Loves Rosie studded rose earrings £10.00

which comes to £99.50 and leaves me with 50 pence to spare!

I was going for a light-hearted, fun, colourful theme when creating this outfit- which I like to think are some of the words you could use to describe my personal style. I based the outfit around the whimsical gingerbread top.

I would tuck the top in to the bright green midi skirt, and wear it with black flats to avoid the risk of going colour crazy. I think the green accessories tie the outfit together, and the black shoes and nail polish tone the look down to stop it from looking too loud and childlike. The hedgehog clutch is fabulous (I NEED him), and although some may think it's a little much with the print of the top, I personally think it would look great with the outfit!

What do you think?

You have until the 31st of July to enter the giveaway.

How would you spend £100 with ASOS?

  2. "some may think it's a little much with the print of the top" - yeah, SOME might but I think that's what makes the outfit^^
honestly, I'd rather see a little ~too much of something than the same safe boring stuff over and over again. It's unusual and fun, and I think green with white and black is a color combination you don't see too often these days unfortunately. So I love this outfit!

I hope you win sweetie, keeping my fingers crossed! :D

    1. I agree with you Nita. And thank you! I enjoy a bit of clashing and a few statement pieces. I think it's sad that green is a colour that a lot of people avoid. I personally love green clothes. I wanted to create something a little bit different.

I don't I stand a chance, but it was fun putting this together :)
